I come back as a deserved listener after almost a year and I'm happy to hear what you do the best : Deep dive.

Everyone has a right to practice whatever religion they choose. Having said that, the Mormon faith teaches a lot of damaging ideas. Has anyone watched episodes of the "Mormon Stories" YT channel? There are so many people leaving this faith because of the abusive & oppressive teachings. Ty for all of the research!

I have a copy of “where did I come from” that was passed down to me and as a kid & i remember being mind blown 😂

Wow, after growing up in a house where I was exposed to sexual abuse, pornography, and a lot of nudity, I could relate to much of this discussion. Then, you ended with a fun little fact about Misophonia and misokinesia, both of which I suffer from; I feel so seen. For the record, people with Misophonia can have a negative response to way more sounds than just those produced by people: dogs parking, lawn mowers, kids screaming, tapping, pen clicking, you name it. It’s horrible. Thanks for all your research and content! Your podcast helped me decide to go to therapy. I appreciate it! End of comment.

Wow I never realised that my grandma talking about wishing she spanked and hit us more as children was a little weird. I can't imagine myself thinking that and the fact that my grandma even said out loud these things... weird but kinda validating.

This has been my favorite outro music so far. I needed that palette cleanser. That’s a good idea. Thanks for that.

I saw the miracle of life in 7th grade sex Ed in 2006! So they were still showing it for a while (maybe still do?!)
