Dev Update #28

Hi all, quick update: Development is progressing fairly smoothly and I've been doing a lot of work on rendering scenes this week. Still have some other bits to do such as music, script edits & coding but the bulk is the renders and we're making good progress. Occasionally some tiny issue will drive me to the brink of insanity but otherwise things are going well and I'm pleased with how it's looking.

Also a random thing that I think I've said before but as a general rule you can expect each girl to make an appearance in two of every three episodes (eg. Taylor is in E1, E3 but not E2, Ella is in E1, E2 but not E3) but there will be some exceptions to this. One of these exceptions in our first three episodes is that Jordan won't make an appearance in E3 (sorry Jordan fans but she will make an appearance in E4). The other exception is Nina who you'll also have to wait until E4 to see again (sorry Nina fans). Nina's absence feels much more acceptable given that she had a lot of content in E2 but I do feel a little bad for leaving Jordan out two episodes in a row but it is what makes the most sense for the story as a whole so I hope you'll understand. Some of you will probably be thinking 'lol that's fine bro they're my two least favourite girls anyway' because I know they were ranked quite low in the surveys but I am still saying this for those who do really like them. And on the subject of Jordan I might be looking at giving her the Selina treatment going into E4 (a minor change in her appearance for hopefully a big change in her attractiveness but we'll come to that after E3).

Also - thank you to those in the discord who have suggested and discussed different difficulty modes/ cheat modes. While I'm not planning to do anything like this in the short term it is something I might reconsider after the first season of Elmwood or after the game's completion. I always appreciate hearing your ideas so thanks for sharing them.
