Invincible Early Episode 3-8

Invincible Early Episode 3-8

-Bruce Campbell played the demon that Damien (played by Clancy Brown) was communicating with. Michael Dorne played Battle Beast. He also played Steel in Superman: TAS but was replaced by Phil Lamar in JLU which is somewhat baffling since Dorne also played Kalibak, Darkseid's son in S: TAS, Justice League and JLU.

Conquest was played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan of Supernatural, Watchmen and The Walking Dead fame. In TWD Morgan's character Negan is known for brutally beating Steven Yuen's character Glenn with a barbed bat named Lucille. When it came around to casting Conquest Kirkman couldn't pass up the opportunity since Negan and Conquest were so much alike and having the season end with Mark bashing Conquest's head in a similar fashion to what Negan did to Glenn. When Conquest first appeared in the previous episode some fans were concerned that he was miscast since Jeffrey Dean Morgan didn't quite have the booming voice that fans expected of Conquest but after seeing this episode those fears were put to rest. The "I'm so lonely" speech was not from the comics and added to the show along with Eve battle Conquest as well as a few other minor details. Eve did fight conquest in the comics, but it ended pretty quickly compared to the show. I'm a little reluctant to list the cast because you think that's the only thing I care about when it comes to animation, which isn't entirely unfounded, but I do that because that's one of the easiest things to talk about when talking shows like Invincible and Justice League.

I didn't expect Damien Darkblood to reappear in the show. In the comics he was an incompetent demon detective. He didn't really contribute much to uncovering Omni Man murdering the GotG. After Nolan and Mark's battle in Chicago Damien came with leads about who might've killed the guardians after everyone already found out that Omni Man did it. He was laughed out of the pentagon and never seen again. In the show people like Debra, Cecil and Damien were much more competent than they were in the comics, so Damien was never banished into hell in the show there was really no material to draw from so his reappearance. Kirkman has stated that the show is basically his second draft of the comic and that he'd always wanted to do something with Damien. I don't have a clear idea of how they're going to do season 4 with this new development but I have a few ideas. Don't worry, I'm not your spoiling ass godson, so you won't get a peep out of me.
