Love the video and the AK. As an AK guy it's a hard pill to swallow knowing it's not the optimal platform for competition, and I've learned the quality of 7.62x39 ammo being one of the biggest issues. Also a fan of loudening my guns, I'd highly recommend an AMD 65 brake, it's loud and effective

I'm sure it won't be as cool as that Warhammer 40k AK but I have a long neglected project rifle in an AR15 Dissipator in 300 AAC with a bolt on carry handle, A2 buttstock and B5 pistol grip. I was just thinking about finishing the paint on it today. I'm too old for Brutality matches but they sure look challenging and fun.

2024-12-18 05:45:39 +0000 UTCFor sure, I'm signed up for Light Armored for Sat/Sun at Woodlands 2025. I haven't decided exactly what I am going to shoot yet, but the AUG is in the running. If I use it, it will probably be with the 24" barrel and bipod.

2024-12-18 00:51:39 +0000 UTCI unironically shoot a AUG with a 20" barrel at two gun matches regularly. I'll be the first to tell you that the AR is a better platform, but I'm bored by the AR and I really enjoy the AUG. I am not a good enough shooter that the AUG will keep me from winning. I could have the most high-speed low-drag AR on the planet and I still wouldn't win. Given that, I shoot what I enjoy. Russell is a good enough shooter that the difference matters, so I get why he wouldn't shoot an AK at a match where he could win. Still, that looks like a really fun rifle and I bet shooting a match with it is a hoot.
