Crisis in Bear Valley - Part 1

(Message from ls6y06cl6a0n: In a sense, Crisis in Bear Valley is like a season finale, concluding all the other stories I wrote so far. Magnus still has a lot of adventures to have in his realm, but for now, let’s jump right after the conclusion of his quest since it will be exciting to see how the other characters will be affected by this crossover!)

The blue light from the portal was reflected on the misty leaves of Bear Valley’s forest. The soothing silence of the night was soon broken by the visitor from a parallel universe. Magnus, our old but muscular mage, finally set foot into the world inside which his magic had already caused some irreversible damage.

It was only when Fromir revealed to Magnus why he created the portal that our mage’s world turned upside down. Was he the villain of his own story? He now knew that there was only one thing to do: leave his world behind and correct his mistakes in this one…

He looked at the lush forest around him, not unlike the ones from his world. “Not so different so far…”, he thought. “I can even feel a great amount of magic around here. A surprisingly great amount, even… Mmmh.” He stroked his white beard in a perplexed manner, making the veins in his muscular arms dance under its thick fur. He lifted his hand in the air as if he were trying to grab an invisible substance out of thin air. After a few seconds, a dancing blue flame ignited in his palm. The excited tip of the flame tilted to point a direction the mage should follow. A compass for magic. As he advanced through the trees and foliage, he detected a deep growl, getting stronger as he approached it. The suspense didn’t overstay its welcome, because soon, the forest abruptly ended, giving way to a series of modern suburban houses with courtyards, swimming pools, and BBQs. Magnus should have been shocked by the view, so different from the medieval-like nature of his home world. But instead, his eyes were fixated on the source of the magic: three immense skinned covered mountains, dominating the scene.

The houses were tiny compared to them. “Oh no. My growing spell. It made them all huge…” The mage ran to the first one: a gigantic muscular man, several times larger and heavier than a golem.
