2025-12-09 19:40:57 +0000 UTCthe movie is one whole arc, the “reze arc” i’m assuming they did a movie for this instead of another season because this arc wouldn’t have been more than 5 episodes long. so season 2 will probably be the length of season 1 in order to finish the first part of chainsaw man.

2025-01-06 03:16:27 +0000 UTCif he left to start his own studio then that's great! i just remember the borderline harassment he was getting from the japanese fandom as soon as season 1 started airing. even since the movie trailer dropped there's been renewed discourse within the international fandom over it, but what's done is done, hopefully his studio does well.

As a manga reader I agree I thought S1 was perfect in capturing the feel of the manga, personally I don’t want an exact replica of the manga but I’m sure they’ll nail it

2025-01-06 02:33:00 +0000 UTCso the csm anime actually got a new director after there was backlash from some fans for season 1 being "too cinematic" and not as wild/bold looking as the manga lol. i do personally like the style change but stuff like that makes me worried for the future of creative direction and artistic liberties, i don't see the appeal of 1-to-1 recreations but it feels like audiences are always pushing for it
