As this summer was different from the usual, I feel that it went by at a dizzying pace.

I'm almost done drawing the monsters on the second stratum.
I'm happy that I have drawn many favorite designs.
I can't wait for the day you can meet them in the game.
I've been racking my brain to come up with their skill sets every day
to make them in a way that fits their designs and themes.
This is a difficult but fun part of game making.
I'm also starting to make maps of the second stratum in earnest.
Though it's a bit difficult theme to make as a dungeon,
I'm working diligently to design it to be something that you will enjoy exploring in a feeling that is not present in the former game.
In this letter, I'd like to introduce one new game system and one new monster.

Along with Linkage/Skill tree system, one of the new game systems is the "Buddy System".
You can make buddies with your favorite monsters and exchange their potential skills with each other to learn more.
It's a very simple system, but it does expand the strategic aspects of battle, and of course
I hope it will be a factor to make players enjoy the characteristics of the character even more.
On the Buddy screen, you choose two monsters that are above a certain level and familiarity.
All monsters have one unique potential skill.
Choose two of them and make them buddies.
The potential skills cannot be used by themselves and can only be used when the buddies learn each other's.
Now Fuurai Orc can use "Cross Shuriken" which is Ninja's potential skill,
Ninja can use Fuurai Orc's potential skill "Riceball of Deflect".
There are a wide range of potential skills, from small, convenient skills to bold skills that consume 100 TP, as well as passive ones.
Buddies can learn potential skills that give each monster a sense of its personality by swapping with each other.
There is no specific effect or direct status improvement by the system, but it will expand the possibilities for party building.
In addition, the system is designed so that you can vaguely sense their buddy's presence from their skill list.
This is "Saver Crab", one of the new monsters.
He is designed to look like a crab lifesaver, with the large scissors of a fiddler crab.
I also gave him a gladiatorial atmosphere from the crab's shell.
