It's becoming spring, which is a season of cherry blossoms in Japan.
Though this spring has become a serious situation with the virus epidemic, I hope it's resolved asap.
In this situation, what I can do is little, but I'll introduce new things in SxM2 as always. I hope you can enjoy them.

These days, I've done making the maps of the first stratum.
Basically I make a very large map for a stage.
It gives players the joy of opening shortcut paths and expanding exploration range little by little.
With random items and symbol monsters there, I want to give players a thrill where they decide whether to go forward or back.
Currently I'm drawing illustrations for event scenes and making skillsets for monsters of the first stratum.
It's very hard to design unique and balanced skillsets,
though it's also interesting as it's like giving life to monsters.
I'll introduce you one of the big new systems, and one of the new monsters.

In SHOWTIMExMONSTERS2, you can fight alongside with a partner character you choose.
(as it's still WIP, the game is not translated yet)
In a battle, by using "Linkage" which is the limit break of the new protagonist...
the partner character appears.
While in "Linkage" state, red overlay HP appears on the protagonist's HP, and it takes damage for the protagonist.
(Linkage state will be removed if the state's turn pass or red HP becomes 0. and the partner will be gone.)
Also, the protagonist gain some status bonus depends on the partner, and gain skills while in Linkage.
You can learn skills which you can gain while in Linkage.
Every partner has unique skill trees. You can choose which one to learn by spending "mana" points.
Each skillset indicates each character's characteristics.
Though Linkage is temporary, players will be able to feel the partner's presence even in exploration and battle.
And with the skill tree, it will give different strategy and gameplay for each player.
This time, with the help of the programmer, I could put an original skill tree system which I designed into the game.(thank you!)
This is one of the new monsters, "Racoon Hero"
His motif is a racoon. I also mixed in a ”Rangers” and "Heroes" theme.

Air Spirit from spirit monsters.
I'm glad if you can feel a refreshing spring breeze from this illustration.
Spirit monsters are humanized elemental. The jewels in their breast are the core of their powers.
When in a pinch, the jewels will glow.
Also, they have emblems which are based on their element.
For Air Spirit, he has an emblem which is based on the character of "Wind" on his forehead.
