Before & After

Hey ya'll! 

This was a super fun edit for me, with lifestyle I typically underexpose (darker shot) to keep things like sky details and highlights on the skin! It can also help with details of water, rain, or anything that has light coming from it, or reflecting it! 

BUT with this session we went over time wise and I accidentally did not adjust my ISO so we ended the evening with what you see in the first image! Have no fear though, we have photoshop haha. Photographer Ariel 3 years ago would have absolutely shit herself seeing these straight out of camera, but thankfully I have learned a ton haha. 

For an image this dark you will need some underexposed prep work, which I did in photoshop, and that helped get me to where I was comfortable enough to edit as I normally would without fear of too much noise/static in the shot! The only con of this is it probably adds 5-7 mins more to editing time for each image that needs a little extra love. But that is what I get for being chatty haha. 

I shot this image with my beasty, Nikon D850. I honestly do not use my Nikon D7500 at all anymore and really just keep it for emergency situations. I'd love to sell it tho and get a mirrorless camera. I actually might now that I have spoken it into the universe haha. Lemme know if you are interested! 

Anyways, as I was saying! I shot this with my Nikon D850, and my Sigma Art 50mm Lens! My favorite lens! The shoot was at sweetbriar, and I got chiggers from this field. Yay. I used the posing prompt of everyone hold hands and walk towards me like dad just farted and you're trying not to be awkward about it. 

Works every time to get smiles out of teens who aren't feeling it.

We were a little past golden hour and the sky was beautiful, it was honestly a very fun session, and I enjoyed that whole thing!
