Faux Fairytale Pt 1

When planning this session, I gave my models complete freedom in deciding on wardrobe and makeup, I wanted their inspiration to lead me. I had a beginning and a final idea for the series, but I wanted the in-between to be heavily guided by my models!
In part 1, we have our model, Grace! Our session was an outdoor woodland vibe, and we shot during Golden Hour, which is the only time I will shoot outdoors! Her makeup and hair were done by Makeup At Tiffany's and her dress is from Amazon! I used my Nikon D850, with my Sigma art 50mm 1.4 lense! I kept my ISO at 100 and even though I typically keep my Fstop at 2.4-2.8 I did drop it to 1.8 to give a more intimate feel! Shutter speed was 250-400 throughout the session! With a lower Fstop you can lose the sharpness of an image, which is something (if I have to) I can clean up in editing! But honestly, the lighting was perfect so editing was a breeze! I edited the album in Lightroom with my custom preset! I then go in with my tools and clean the image up, removing cars in the background, signs, and skin blemishes, and enhancing the sky, eyes, and sun rays! Each image takes anywhere from 3-7 minutes depending on the amount of editing needed! I will sometimes go into Photoshop to finish an image, but as I said above, the sun was perfect that day, so it was not needed!
The session was about 45 minutes long, we basically shot till the sun dropped too low light-wise.
We started with the goal of whimsical, with a hint of underlying sorrow. It was honestly such a fun session and Grace embodied everything I needed perfectly! Grace is such a good friend, and she has been a huge supporter of my art for years now! Her natural elegance and feminity come through the camera so easily, it is always such a joy to work with her. She is living art in my eyes, beautiful inside and out.
