Death Spiral here is a little thing I've been working on during the past few weeks. It is a profoundly hopeless dungeon crawl game (some would perhaps call it a deconstruction?) about doomed explorers and their inevitable demise in the dark depths of the abyss below.
It's a mix of Darkest Dungeon, Made in Abyss, Torchbearer, Maze Rats and more; a minigame that takes the usual RPG motto "if you're playing, you're winning" and turns it into a more grim "if you're playing, you're losing".
Ready to take on the mantle of a desperate delver, driven by a mirage and thrust into a spiral of punishing economy and horrid descents? The Burg preys upon you above, and the Tomb preys upon you below.
Arm yourself with whatever few tools you have at your disposal, and prepare to meet your end. Because all you shall face in these accursed depths, you brought it upon yourself.
