SUP Chapter 42: The Fastest Man! The Flash!

It had to be said, Boeing still had something going for it.

Just a company name alone completely destroyed all the doubts and conspiracy theories in Ian's heart. Looking across the globe, there were probably few companies that possessed such brand power.

This deeply ingrained brand image had even made superheroes accustomed to it. Even with Ian's knowledge, he couldn't help but feel moved. For the sake of superheroes' performance, this company really went to great lengths!

"Rumble! Rumble!"

The right wing of the Boeing 747 airliner spewed flames ten meters long, with metal fragments scattering like fireworks. Inside the cabin, the desperate passengers' screams almost drowned out the plane's alarms.

"Hold tight!"

Kara was accelerating.

The flight trajectory changed extremely steeply.

Ian on her back hurriedly gripped her neck tightly. The two dove down like a silver meteor, approaching the bottom of the plane just as it was about to crash into the wilderness fields.

The fuselage was tilted severely, and through the windows you could see the passengers' terrified faces. She adjusted her angle, flew beneath the plane, raised both hands high and steadily supported the aircraft's belly.

"Whoosh~"

Kara's biofield wrapped around the three-hundred-ton steel behemoth like an invisible water membrane, gradually changing the plane's nose direction along its descending trajectory.

She obviously had plenty of experience saving this model of aircraft. Holding up the plane, carrying Ian on her back, she slowly adjusted the posture and finally landed smoothly on the ground.

"Bang!"

Kara's feet sank deeply into the asphalt road surface, cracks spreading like spider webs from where she stood, but she didn't transfer the force to the plane. The stabilized aircraft didn't even have anyone thrown from their seats.

This was probably a scene most physicists couldn't understand in their lifetime.

"Tsk tsk, Homelander's fantasy of himself." Ian sighed with no small amount of envy. As the emergency slides inflated and deployed, the still-shaken passengers came tumbling and scrambling out of the cabin doors.

Having successfully resolved the crisis.

Kara stood with her hands on her hips, catching her breath in a great mood.

Her clothing had somehow changed into her battle suit.

One-second costume change.

This was a required course for many superheroes.

"It's Supergirl!" A little boy wearing a baseball cap was the first to recognize Kara, excitedly tugging his mother's hand. "Mom, it's Supergirl who saved us!"

"Oh God, thank you, thank you for sending your messenger to save us." A white-haired Christian fell to his knees, making the sign of the cross on his chest to thank her faith.

"I swear I'll never complain about my mom's cooking being bad again. As long as I can live, I'll eat anything!" A girl in her early twenties burst into tears after surviving the ordeal.

A burst of weak laughter erupted from the crowd.

At this moment, a woman with burgundy hair wearing a beige trench coat in the crowd also calmed her emotions. Compared to the other grateful and relieved people, her nature as a reporter made her want to seize this first-hand news.

"My name is Iris West, I'm a reporter for Central City Citizen. Supergirl, I really appreciate your assistance. Without your help, perhaps we all would have..."

Reporter Iris was recording with her phone, her tone excited, but she didn't finish the bad words, perhaps still feeling shaken and not daring to think about such possibilities.

"No need to thank me, Ms. West. This is my job, isn't it? As long as everyone is safe." Kara's answer was very official. She had plenty of experience with such interviews.

"This is very close to Metropolis. Are you temporarily helping Superman? I heard he's had some problems. I wonder if you could refute or confirm this to the public?"

Iris was very clear about what kind of news she needed. After yesterday's plane crash incident, whether in Metropolis or online, there were quite a lot of discussions about why Superman had failed.

"Regarding this point, I think his personal response later would be more convincing than mine." Kara's heart suddenly tightened when she heard Iris's inquiry.

However, she remained composed on the surface and gave a very perfect answer. She wasn't a newcomer either. Kara had also studied training related to accepting interviews.

"Thank you."

Reporter Iris was white Iris, so she had a relatively strong sense of propriety and didn't continue to make things difficult for her lifesaver. She looked at the other passengers and then changed the subject.

"I noticed you seemed to be escorting a criminal just now?"

Reporter Iris already had a draft in her mind. Now she just needed to clarify Supergirl's daily vigilante routine.

Readers loved to see these things, just like how fans loved to peek into their idols' lives.

"Escorting a criminal?"

Kara, who was still somewhat shocked that Superman might really have problems, heard reporter Alice's inquiry again. The expression on her face was obviously stunned for a brief moment.

"Hiss!"

Kara seemed to remember something. The absent-minded girl suddenly looked to her side. Finding that Ian, whom she had put down when changing clothes, had disappeared, she hurriedly looked back in alarm.

Ian had somehow jumped off Kara's back and was now surrounded by several bold passengers taking photos with him. Worse yet, this guy had a translucent flesh-colored stocking over his head!

And it was the kind with holes poked in the eye and mouth positions!

He looked exactly like a seasoned criminal!

Kara felt her temples throbbing. She quickly jogged to Ian, who was charging fees for posed photos. Without caring about the passengers' praise, she frantically grabbed Ian and shot straight up into the sky.

As if afraid that being one second slower.

Ian would cause some other trouble.

The other passengers hadn't even reacted yet.

"Click click click~"

Reporter Iris pulled out her camera and aimed it at the sky, frantically shooting. The shutter was about to catch fire from being pressed so much. After all, each of these first-hand photos could be converted into Franklin.

"Whoosh~"

Just at this moment, a lightning bolt suddenly sped from the distance, causing many passengers to cry out and panic. A man in armor woven with gold and red colors stopped in front of everyone.

His face was covered by a metal mask, only revealing a not-too-large mouth.

"The Flash! It's The Flash!"

Some passengers shouted in delight, also pulling out their phones. Especially a little girl who had been livestreaming, but was disappointed after Supergirl left.

She didn't expect to capture another superhero.

"Oh! My God! Friends, look, it's The Flash! My luck is really good today!" The little girl wanted to gain followers through livestreaming, but her fans were somewhat unimpressed.

The comments were full of accusations like "Welfare girls shouldn't neglect their proper duties."

"Is everyone... alright?" The Flash looked around. His gaze kept locking onto his childhood sweetheart, but to avoid revealing his identity, he still disguised it a bit.

"Flash! Did you also come to Metropolis?"

Iris obviously hadn't received the confession from her boyfriend Barry Allen yet. She quickly aimed her camera at The Flash and began frantically pressing the shutter to earn money for herself.

"Uh..."

Barry Allen really wanted to say he had received Iris's "goodbye" call and rushed here from the middle of a battle, but looking around, he couldn't reveal his identity for emotional reasons.

"Yes, that's right. You know, superheroes have regular meetings. I was just..." Barry Allen talked quite a bit, but just as he was being evasive.

"Hiss~"

An extremely severe sense of weakness suddenly struck.

This made his words come to an abrupt halt.

He couldn't help but half-kneel on the ground.

"What's wrong with you?" Iris quickly stepped forward to support The Flash. Although she didn't know The Flash's identity, she was old acquaintances with The Flash in daily life.

This old friend had contributed quite a bit to the BMW mini she bought this year.

"Nothing... just..."

Feeling the weakness in his body.

Barry Allen originally wanted to brush it off, but he found that his Speed Force was also weakening. Somewhat panicked, he quickly removed part of the armor from his arm.

"Savitar... what did he do to me."

Barry Allen also had a hideous wound on his arm.

It was now glowing with a blue luminescence. Ian had been taken away too early, otherwise, if Ian had seen this scene, he would definitely have recognized the shape of this wound.

Except for the color.

It was exactly the same as the wound on Superman's arm!
