Naruto Reaction Ep. 58

Comments

Don't forget, just reminder for Shippuden, watch the flashback episodes first then Episode 1

ShaquanVirse

Kazekage is not dead

Manraj Singh

Gaara has the best backstory/character development in the entire show. No contest. It just sucks its all basically in shippuden

Morokei

Naruto looks WAYYY cooler without his headband on GEEZ! LMAO

DomzTunes

Naruto knows that hate. To be rejected without even being given a chance. Must have been pretty rough seeing his reflection in Gaara.

Ogre328

Thank god for iruka sensei helped our boy through the darkness we all need an iruka sensei in our lives

William Pahau

Something I'd like to add, becoming Chunin is the natural progression of a ninja. However to become Jonin, you must be recommended to become Jonin to the Hokage. The Hokage then has the final decision on whether or not you possess the skills needed to become Jonin.

Brett White

Madison forgets Kazekage in last episode. But what she said. Its true.

Puripong Puhual

Yeah that's why a Sakura defender like me comes out in full force because not only does the anime remove some of her scenes but the anime also adds dialogue that wasn't in the manga to make Sakura sound more superficial or just downright stupid, the studio has a bias against her because they favor Hinata. It also becomes obvious when they made a staple of her character to constantly hit Naruto to the point the fandom and community tout her as an abuser even though it's a pretty common trope amongst early shonen anime where the hot tempered female character hits the main male character over his stupidity. The point is Kishimoto only showcased that seldomly and only when Naruto was really acting a fool but the anime made that a huge part of her characterization when she barely does it in the manga; the amount of times she does it in the anime is insane.

Brianda Sandoval

I didn't realize that scene wasn't in the anime, I read the land of waves arc after I watched them react to it. The anime is certainly terrible at portraying certain things. There's massive filler in Shippuden is definitely wild.

ShaquanVirse

Not just the blushing but Kishimoto really emphasized Sasuke and Sakura standing right next to each other in a lot of the panels while Naruto's behind them or in the background also panels where Sasuke is exhausted or injured and Sakura's helping him walk while putting his arm over her shoulder while in the anime they make those moments very short lived that's why anime only watchers are under the impression Sasuke doesn't like or care about Sakura when that couldn't be further from the truth. One significant moment the anime cut out from The land of waves arc was Sakura saving Naruto's life by tackling him to the ground saving him from getting decapitated by Zabuza's sword while the anime changed it to have everybody duck taking away one of Sakura's most important moments in the series.

Brianda Sandoval

I never noticed but I'm reading the manga over and the anime removes scenes of Sasuke blushing when he's around Sakura

ShaquanVirse

That's fine then, I won't harp on you spoiling something anymore if it's already been made clear there's free reign in the comments. However when it comes to what you actually posted the Kazekage isn't an innocent victim as he was in complete favor of destroying the leaf village and severing their alliance but what he wasn't aware of was Orochimaru turning on him and doing his own thing.

Brianda Sandoval

That’s fine you’re entitled to your opinion. My only concern is that it doesn’t spoil it for Madison who is the star of the show given it’s all about her reaction.

CYBRLFT

I still don't think you should spoil important plot points. I haven't seen someone else reveal major plot points in any of their comments. Also even if that's the case you're still wrong because the Kazekage did want this conflict, he didn't count on Orochimaru betraying him but he was totally for crushing the Leaf.

Brianda Sandoval

You must be new here. The comments section is kept from Madison. This is a place for us to discuss the show. If someone else gets spoiled, tough luck 🤷🏽

CYBRLFT

Delete your comment because you spoiled something

Brianda Sandoval

100%. While I dont agree with Gaara's conclusion to kill people I understand what can drive someone like him to be the way he is. Man, Naruto has such good storytelling at times.

Jonny

Yea as Jay said just clarify to her that the Kazekage is still alive at this point and is the one plotting to destroy the Leaf

Jonny

No he's dead. Killed by Orochimaru. The Kazekage didn't want this conflict.

CYBRLFT

I hope you clarify to her that she's wrong about the kazekage, he didn't die putting the monster inside Gaara he's still alive and is their current Kage that wants to destroy the Leaf. He is Gaara's father as well as Kankuro and Temari's, I understand how it can be overlooked because even his own children refer to him as Lord Kazekage instead of father. I understand this is her first time watching and you don't want to spoil her on future events but during Gaara's backstory you should have emphasized Gaara was forced to carry a monster from inside the womb; he was an unborn child at that point therefore had no consent to having a monster shoved into him. Gaara also said his own dad was trying to kill him when he was only six and he did it on multiple occasions failing each time because Gaara would kill the assassins, think about it what should Gaara have done let himself be killed or defend himself. Naruto has the luxury of having it easy even though he was mistreated a lot as a child he still had the support of Iruka and the Hokage to an extent and now has his team but keep in mind Naruto wasn't fighting off assassins at six years old, the worst things he was battling were loneliness and discrimination imagine having to deal with that on top of people wanting to kill you as a young child. Gaara had it worse no doubt about it; he had no support from anyone and his own father was against him so Gaara's not at fault in any way for how he turned out his entire life has been shaped by trauma. One last thing it's a huge oversimplification to say Gaara took the wrong path because who can say what the right path is, they're a society of ninjas where child soldiers exist and take on missions by their village leader who can easily assign them a mission to kill someone from another village. I understand her feelings because right now she only sees the Leaf's good side but you should tell her no ninjas and no villages are innocent, they all have blood on their hands.

Brianda Sandoval

While Garaa and Naruto did/do have similar back stories, the difference is that NARUTO had someone to teach him and help him through what Garaa had to go through ALONE. And like Madison said it IS a nature vs. nurture situation simply because the only difference between Naruto and Garaa was the environment and influences they got, which is why I think they are so different yet share so many similarities.

Kraze_X9

Think it’s important to clarify to Madison that Garaa didn’t kill the Kazekage, his father is the present kazekage. It’s not a spoiler and it’s vital to understand this for what’s to come.
