"If you didn't want to come, you should have stayed home," Link said sourly. What did Zelda think he meant when he said he wanted to go down to Lake Hylia on a Saturday morning? Obviously to fish!
"I wanted to come!" Zelda argued, crossing her arms in front of her. Ever since saving the world, she had been trying to get Link's attention. But he still acted like that dumb kid she met all those years ago.
"Then why are you over there pouting like a baby, Z?" Link rolled his eyes and motioned to the shadows in the water.
"You're gonna scare away all the fish at this rate."
Sometimes it was like she never learned how to do anything other than get kidnapped!
"I'm not a baby!" Zelda stormed off, up the hill and toward the fields. He was such a jerk sometimes! Honestly, she liked him better when he didn't talk. She stopped at a tree and took a deep breath... at least she was alone, and she'd had to pee all morning.
Link, with reluctance, reeled in his fishing rod and followed Zelda up the hill, only to see her pause in place beside a tree. He watched quietly as her eyes fluttered closed. She let out a sigh of relief and he saw a heat filling her cheeks. It was such a weirdly intimate thing to watch, and he didn't understand. Then he did. Was she...?
Link looked at Zelda's dress and at the fishing pole in his hands. Suddenly, he had an idea.
He reeled back the rod as though to cast for a fish, and at the last minute - and without her noticing - he turned in place and flicked it sharply behind him, absolutely nailing grabbing the edge of her dress. Pretending he didn't notice, he tugged up on it, and spoke to himself.
"What the?" He mumbled, playing dumb. Zelda started to screech, but Link didn't turn to face her, not yet.
"Excuuuuuse me, Princess, I'm trying to reel this in!"
Link turned to see the princess, her dress pulled high in the air, and a colorful diaper underneath it. As he reeled in the line, it was easy to see that the diaper between her legs was clearly wet. Zelda pulled and fussed to get away, screaming at Link to let her go, but her dress was too well-made to tear.
Finally, when the two were side by side, the fishing rod high in the air kept her dress out of the way. Link reached down and put his hand to the front of her diaper - warm to the touch - and Zelda froze in embarrassment.
Link had never seen Zelda like this before. Actually, wearing a wet diaper, she was kind of cute. He acted on his impulse and leaned in, kissing the princess square on the lips.
"Well, usually getting wet is pretty normal in a good old day of fishing, but I can honestly say Princess, I didn't think you'd take it so seriously. How about I put my rod away and we go smooch by the water? Maybe I can show you my Bomb Bag."
