"What'd you get there, Ruru? What did you get? Did you get a ribbon? Did you win? Oh who's a good girl, who's a good girl?!"
I looked up at Master with wide eyes as she reached her hand down and scratched the top of my head, just behind my ears. I felt pride swell up in my heart so big that I wasn't sure my little body could take it. I leaned into her palm and let out a whimpering sound of pleasure. This made it all worth it. The rolling around on the floor. The yipping on command. The heat that spread between my legs as I wet my diaper on stage. It was all for this.
"And what did you win, I wonder? Did you win... 'Most Well Behaved Pet'? Or did you win 'Cleverest Pet?' Hmm, no no, you're bratty and as for clever, well.. let's just say you're very lucky to be so cute, that's what I think. I wonder what my little pet could have won first prize for? Maybe.... Best Dressed? But that would be a ribbon for me if it's for anybody, cause I dressed you..."
I smiled dumbly up at my Master. Her words rolled over me like water over rocks. I took none of them in, but they left their marks. More importantly, her tone was so kind and sweet and gentle and happy! Happy with me! I bounced happily in place and held out my ribbon again, as if she had forgotten in the five seconds since I showed her last. She was so proud of me, and I had to remind her why.
"Oh sweetie, look at how proud you are, look how happy? I can tell just from that smile what you won! You won 1st Place at Being Ruru, didn't you, sugar? Didn't you? Oh yes you did, yes you did! Who's my good little Foxxy? Who's my good little Foxgirl? Izzit you? The ribbon sure does say so!"
She was asking me a question - I could tell by the way she ended her sentences. A certain quality to it. Something I didn't understand, but something I knew how to respond to. I nodded my head excitedly, knowing not what I agreed to. But if my Master said it was true, then it must be! And I was rewarded again with pats on the head. I must have done something right!
