Short/Mid/Longterm Goals

Here are some things I am committed to doing in the short term, by myself, no matter what; on top of continuing Swords and Stars:

Swords in Chronological Order
The first year of Swords is now in Chronological Order on the Website and Webtoon - this is stage 1 of my commitment to make it easier to read the parts of the series you care about

Swords: Cut the Deck live support
We are creeping closer to 50% fulfilment for the Cut the Deck Kickstarter - as we come out the other side, I want to continue supporting the game with more modules and other digital content.

Swords: Choplet's Dungeon RPG Maker Minigame
I am casually working on assets for a 1-hour-long RPG Maker game starring Choplet and friends

Here are some things I want to do in the medium term, which will be greatly accelerated if I either get a stable income again and can use my current Patreon money to build things up, or we grow Patron together to the point where another job would just become an undesirable time sink.

Swords: Cut the Deck II
We have all of the art for a standalone expansion set ready to go, which we can think about more when the first game is fully fulfilled. I want to give people the opportunity to play the game, give feedback, and weigh in on what kinds of cards are missing.
I have some new guest artists lined up already too.

Swords: The Rise Of Bread Knight
I want to redraw all of Bread Knight's gearing-up journey and turn it into a book; as part of my commitment to making the series easier to get into as a newcomer.

My vision for "experience pillars" for the series are : Bread Knight, Rapier Tapir, Quest Sprout and maybe Choplet - I want you to be able to read any of these adventures on their own.

I'm not wholly comfortable with just Kickstarting this now, because the art could take a while. Books aren't currently the subject of tariffs but I'd like a tighter turnaround on any physical rewards in the future so we don't run into issues again - which means it's gotta be ready to go.
It may also be the case that I remaster it and release it as normal episodes to help boost the next Cut the Deck Kickstarter - we'll see!

Swords: Side-Quests
I want to commission other webcomic artists a generous amount to draw 10 page arcs for less vital characters, like Lemon Knight, Quill the Inksmith or Saber Snake

Swords: Pens & Papercuts
A pen and paper TTRPG that leverages all the different power-scaling systems of the comics. Your Hero grows a little, but your Steelborn Soulsworded Godsword of Truth made of Dwarfbeardonium with a Pommel of Raging Flames blessed by Baltad grows out of control. That sort of thing.

Steel Tribe
I want 6 uninterrupted months to work on this, without juggling other commitments.

Swords: The Webisode Series
I want to animate the highlights of the series up to the same production standards as Bigtop Burger

Merch At Home
I want to bring all of my merch in-house so that I can control the quality, the cost and the user experience. I've been partnering with manufacturing brands for a long time now and when they make a mistake or cut a corner, I'm the one who looks bad.

These are things I'm always thinking about, talking about and they are, in my mind, realistic. If you don't think this is enough, or it's misguided in some way, let me know and I'll try to meet you in the middle. I would very much like to keep growing this Patreon up to the point it can pay me a full-time wage, and give me room to start building a team as well. Having long term goals is important if I want this series to last long into the future.
