Quick Updates 6.24.25

Hello everyone!! Hope you had a good weekend, and if you're based in the northeast US, I hope you're managing to not get cooked alive in this heatwave. I was out in Toronto this weekend for a future video, and oof it was rough at times. Thank goodness for the air-conditioned Tim Hortons on every corner.

Anyway, I just wanted to do my usual updates:

THE NEXT DDD

Now that Oasis is out in the world, I've begun preliminary listening/research work on the next DDD. It definitely will not be the next video, I've got a couple other vids I want/need to do first. But I'll provide more updates when it's closer to happening. I'll just say, it's on an artist I've seen a LOT of requests for.

UPCOMING YOUTUBE VIDEOS

Next up on the YouTube docket is a vid about mental health in the live music world. I got to talk with two folks from a remarkable non-profit for touring pros. It's gonna be a great, super-rich video.

After that, I still wanna do a video on the Mario Kart World OST. I was also thinking of doing another songs of the summer ranking video, though I gotta admit... that one would be depressing as hell. I didn't fully realize it until Todd in The Shadows' new video on that Alex Warren song, but oh my gosh the pop charts this summer are in dire straits.

(And if you're curious, the Toronto video won't be out for about a month for Reasons™)

Now that we've hit the halfway point of 2025, I wanna do a midyear check-in for my favorite music of the year. I'll also take a bit to talk about my fav video games from 2025 too, because sure why not.

Along with that, I gotta admit... the beckoning call of "bad music" is pulling me in... this new Benson Boone album has been getting raked through the mud...... and I'm so compelled to check it out.

So yeah, those two will be up next for Patreon + Nebula. Not sure which one I'll do first, so if you wanna see one more than the other, let me know in the comments.
