While Oda has never confirmed or denied it.... it is pretty clear to me that he based CP9 on real life organizations like Interpol or the CIA. Uncovering and getting a hold of the blueprints of an ancient Super Weapon to "ensure the security" of the World sounds exactly like something the CIA would do.

This is definitely the most excited I've been for more episodes thus far and I'm glad to see you're enjoying the rollercoaster just as much! :)
