Starting '24 with a Bang

2024 will be a big year both for AI and for AI Insiders. Will be doing a New Year video on the main channel, outlining why I think AI advances are still being underestimated, and getting '24 off to a galloping start on here with a set of videos exclusively for AI Insiders in the first two weeks of January, including: a video on below-the-radar trends ft. Nvidia stars Jim Fan & Guanzhi Wang and Google DeepMind's Pannag Sanketi, a survey of Productivity Boosts from AI ft. Harvard Business School's Edward MacFowland, a new podcast episode on the founding anniversary of AI Explained, plus what could be a major scoop interview with one of the 21-year-old founders of Etched.AI (of 100T parameter-capacity fame) on the 11th.

Speaking of which, if you have any questions about Etched AI (burning transformers straight onto the chip to massively increase throughput, enabling real-time interactions with voice agents, and facilitating AlphaCode- and SmartGPT-style mass-sampling), do let me know in the comments, as always prioritised for strong consideration for the interview!

Last but not least, am soon launching a major addition to the Discord, with an umbrella channel featuring threads with best tips and tricks for an expanding array of professions. Have already got recruits in some fields but if you work on GenAI in law, university education, finance, consulting, medicine or indeed any major field, and feel qualified to give some hidden-gem tips and tricks, do get in touch (e.g. on Patreon, where I have open chats with pretty much everyone). The idea is to kickstart helpful conversations and tip-sharing for each profession in a more granular way, and encourage sub-communities focused on best practice.
