LOOKING E5 - UNCUT

Okay.. lets just say this one is a little more "visual" as Frankenfurter once said, and as you can probably tell from Josh's face

We're half way through this fabulous series now! Enjoy xoxo

LOOKING E5 - UNCUT

Comments

I’m loving rewatching this with you two. I loved it first time around but I’m loving your reactions 😂😂

David Watt

I love Josh’s facial expressions 😂 they are priceless 😂😂

John Dillon

haha where does the obsession with the egg saying come from? is it from "succession" by any chance? there's a classic line in there between these two guys named tom and greg; tom is the boss and greg is like his underling. anyway, tom says "you can't make a tomlette without breaking some greggs."

LM-Entertainment Australia

"I think I need a fan...." "I think I need a priest!" Oh God, I'm howling! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Jacqueline Hahn

- I need a fan - you need a priest There my friends is where I lost it hhahahahahahaa

The Tommo Way

I ship Patrick and Ritchie, they are great. Josh’s facial expressions are the best. very educational show. Love a day Date. Loving this series 🥰❤️

Clash

Seconded. The trauma within the gay community of so many lives lost and the stigmas and the ways that the gay community was even attacked politically (for example, the Reagan presidency) was a lot to recover from.

Jennifer Carrigg

Such a great episode and very fun reaction!

JustinThyme

Not to brag but I have been in a serenade-in-bed type situation and it is both cringe and sexy, I do not think they are mutually exclusive...or maybe this is the one situation when they are not.... And believe me up until then I thought of myself as a type of person to yell CRINGE at such stuff, but then it happens and something shifts 😊

Michaela Morávková

Loved this episode so much - Team Ritchie all the way! The author of this series, Andrew Haigh, also wrote and directed the wonderful film “Weekend”. A pickup at a gay bar that was supposed to be a one-night stand turns into a weekend and starts something special... aaaand like in "Looking" there are a fair number of explicit scenes that probably require a lot of editing for YT and possibly the use of the 🪭 ….😳🥵🫣… He also has done a new series with Andrew Scott in the lead “All Of Us Strangers”.

I can't really fault Patrick for being insecure about HIV. Yes, of course he should inform himself, but you must also remember that most of the characters were probably born about a decade before you. (I'm not actually sure how old you are, sorry.) They may have memories from childhood about the 'AIDS crisis' of the 80s and early 90s and probably the community at the time of their coming out was still a bit more paranoid than nowadays, considering that antivirals had only been on the market for a few years - and were presumably also a bit more difficult and expensive to obtain in the US than in the UK or Germany, for example, where the state covers the health costs. Such simmering paranoia in the community may well have impacted Patrick. So, I understand how he ended up here. Of course, it doesn't make up for the fact that he clearly should be better informed, but I wouldn't simply call him ignorant, rather a product of his time, who unlike Ritchie, has apparently never been in a relationship for which he would have had to acquire more or deeper knowledge.

We’ve got quite a ways to go yet. Josh, Alex Too, fasten your seatbelts and you might want to keep the fan 🪭 nearby.

Diane Furlong

I don’t think Josh will survive much more of this 😂

Teddy

I'd like to see you react to Everything Now on Netflix. It has a queer POC female lead and many other queer characters. There's a heavy theme of an eating disorder and her and everyone around her dealing with it. Watched 4 episodes and enjoying it so far. It would be something different from all thr MLM

beacan

I laughed out loud as well.

Diane Furlong

Love this reaction and how many times I’ve laughed out loud. Really made my morning 💜

Kim Engel

Alex is correct although approved in 2012, prep was just coming into wide spread use in 2014, and really became the norm 2015-2018

Luna

This was a cute episode. Patrick makes me cringe at times not knowing what's going to come out of his mouth, though we do know what came in Richie's!

Chris Metzger

I love this episode so much! Such great writing... just feels so real. It's been great to re-watch the show with you guys! Can't wait for the next episodes. <3

Robbie Rogers Fan

Great episode! I’m still Team Kevin but this was good.

Diane Furlong

Don’t worry about the language! This whole series is going put you through your paces.

Diane Furlong

Yes Jonathan/Patrick recently officiated at Raul and his wife’s wedding

Diane Furlong

Apologies if the language got a bit much. Honestly, we blame the content you guys want us to review! 😉🤣

A Story Worth Telling

This is us every day 🤣

A Story Worth Telling

love victor s3 felt like a prank, truly. how do you undo every single good thing about your show in so few episodes??

b

This is one of my all-time favorite episodes. I simply adore Richie. He IS a good one. It all felt very fumblingly real and despite the raunchiness, very sweet and romantic. (Or maybe the raunchiness was the part that grounded and made the romance feel authentic). I don't know, but I love Richie and Patrick together, and I loved your reaction!!!

Kent Smither

I really like Patrick and Ritchie. So cute together! Too bad the actor who plays Ritchie is straight. Lol

Dorothy Johnstone

my favourite thing is when alex looks delighted and josh looks like he's been through a war

I think it's really interesting to compare a show like this to HS for example. In HS, we have young people who are coming out and figuring things out. Most reactions are positive, some not so much. But the main characters always say the right thing. Giving the audience examples and vocabulary to have discussions like this. Characters are perfect, society can be tricky sometimes. That is where the conflict comes from. Wherein LOOKING, people have found their "tribe"", they have been out for years and are more or less settled in their lives. I don't think there is a single homophobic moment in this show because we see the characters within their community. However, here the characters are flawed. Patrick, for example,is neurotic AF and a massive overthinker. He often says (semi) inappropriate things. It gives the audience moments to judge him on that and to realize that this was not the best thing to say or do in a situation. In LOOKING, society is great but the characters aren't. The conflict comes from the characters themselves not the society they live in.

M

Oh my! Hooray I’ll watch when I’m home tonight.

Diane Furlong

right, so season 1 is actually 8 episodes, season 2 is 10, and then there's a movie to cap it off at the end - so only 3 eps left in season 1 after this one.

b

More than half way through series 1/the first season, and it has been very good reactions so far. Just had to (try to)get used to it being more explicit and intense sometimes, and I understand Josh reactions. 😆

Sara Nissen

Poor Josh, are you okay? Pretty sure we witnessed your soul exiting your body lol.

Jacqui Chesterton

Me too - LOL

IAmom

I think we all need a priest and a fan right about now......

IAmom

For the love of god 😂 unabridged? Is that what you're going for?

Jacqui Chesterton

“I THINK I NEED A PRIEST” THE WAY I DIED LAUGHING 😭😭

Dd44 🩷💜💙

A double episode drop again!?! Thank you so much 🙏 😊 I'm starting to love this series more and more. ❤️ To bad it was cut short.

Stian Kristoffersen
