Put the text of the YouTube link in to the text body of the Patreon post. This has been the standard workaround for many long standing bugs on Patreon.

2024-10-25 22:36:27 +0000 UTCAfter much testing, Patreon-embedded YouTube video content all works swimmingly in any web browser, mobile or desktop, including the top three: Chrome, Firefox and DDGo. However, the YT content embedded in the Android Patreon app fails to load with a bot challenge which cannot be resolved. I am having much success using a proper web browser, in my case Chrome/Firefox/DDGo on Arch Linux (obtained via the AUR) running uBlock Origin extension. So apparently it's a Patreon smartphone app problem. I can do certain things via the Patreon app, just not display the YouTube embedded videos. I am making it more complicated than is necessary -- just use a web browser, not the Patreon app.

2024-10-22 01:22:02 +0000 UTCPatreon runs a lot of scripts but I run Firefox with NoScript and only allow the basic required scripts to run the page. I have not had this issue.
