I'd guess it's intended more for drawing and specifically for shading large areas.

2023-08-14 23:30:26 +0000 UTCI've got a box of similar all graphite pencils of various softness grades, which I must have had for at least 20 years. I've never really used them as, at least for me, they don't seem to do anything I can't do with a normal pencil.
