Huh, that 3rd input says a maximum of 3 GHz! Wow! Total overkill!

That’s a really nice frequency counter. We had one at one of my previous jobs and we used it a lot. Been looking to pick one up for home for a while but as you pointed out, the prices have gotten a bit out of hand on eBay.
While your example is from the early 2000s, that model as well as the 34401A multimeter and 33120 function generator that were packed with it originally date back to the early 90s. The nice thing about that era of HP gear is that it’s still very serviceable. All of the user manuals as well as full service manuals with schematics can still be downloaded free from Keysight’s website. Older manual revisions can be found elsewhere around the web.
The manuals are well written too and definitely worth checking out. Since all of these instruments have the RS232 interface you can easily do remote control and logging. Together with all of the other pieces you’ve got, you can set up some really cool testing scenarios. You’re really only limited by your imagination and patience to script the test (which is easier than it might first appear).
This is a wonderful equipment collection to have fall into your lap!
