But it is a parable about how being loose with your money slowly ruins your life. You stop enjoying pilfered candy bars. Gum becomes meaningless. You begin to hate magicians. You begin to pull out your teeth for religious reasons. You rent serpents. You peddle your own flesh for incomplete decks of playing cards. All this and worse... awaits you. One quarter lost at a time. Enjoy.....
