I don't know if this is exactly what you're talking about or not, but I never DON'T have music playing in my head. Literally, like, never. It starts seconds after waking up and occasionally one song gets stuck on repeat, kind of like an earworm, and can be so "loud" it's distracting. But normally it's just the soundtrack to my life. I don't find it unpleasant at all - I kind of enjoy it. A friend years ago used to just randomly ask me what was playing in my head because she found it fascinating that this was my reality. That puppet act was very, very good - thanks for that link!

Thanks, Fran. You've just ruined ventriloquism for me. Put them in the same category as French mimes. You notice there are fewer mimes than there used to be? Puppets are next.

Damn covid! I'd have paid real money to watch your standup act.

I remember the spate of comedy sketch shows on the old "Comedy Channel" ... Vacant Lot was a favorite as well. I'm sure I'd have lost it at the "silent ventriloquist" sketch as well. I recently watched some early episodes of The Kids in the Hall after many years and although they were a hoot back then, the comedy seems old-fashioned and rehashed (to no fault of their own.)
