It's Official: UFOs Are Real. So Now What???

Comments

I would listen to the professionals that use and operate that equipment daily vs. a non pilot so called debunker. Check this 4 hour interview with Lex Fridman and David Fravor. You will learn a lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB8zcAttP1E

Guys, I really encourage you to see Mick West's videos where he analyzes that blip in a FLIR footage (https://www.youtube.com/user/mickword). I am not saying that his opinion is definitive or anything, but it is sooo easy to misinterpret this kind of data, especially if helped by wishful thinking (and I do wish we were not alone in the big, empty Universe), and seeing it looked at from another angle cannot hurt.

I am notjudging until I see more evidence

Simon Deards VK3FSPD

That's interesting and all, but the reason they started calling them UAP's rather than UFO's was to get away from the knee jerk UFO=Aliens assumption. The intellectually honest answer at the moment is no one knows what they are.

Kelly Parks

"Craft" implies "beings piloting the crafts". You don't need to use the word "aliens" when it's implied.

lohphat

Next time a passenger jet passes above you at night, make a video on your cell. Zoom as much as you can. You'll be surprised at how shitty it is. 4k takes strong illumination.

Kelly Parks

It won't. The report will say "We don't know what they are."

Kelly Parks

The implication was that recent improvements in sensor technology had made them much more detectable.

Kelly Parks

Much better video exists (according to the Navy pilots) but has not been declassified.

Kelly Parks

So many assumptions here. The *entire* reason they started calling them UAP's rather than UFO's is to get away from the knee jerk assumption that UFO=Alien. The intellectually honest answer is we don't know what they are. I believe the DoD report to Congress next month will say exactly that. It will say these craft exist, they are clearly intelligently controlled, and are capable of moving in ways we don't understand...and that's all we know. The End.

Kelly Parks

Hold that thought. I am going to do something else.........

False Alien Discoveries https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsoPOOJdJHM Confirmation Bias is one helluva drug. For interstellar "aliens" to exist here (or anywhere) so much other things must be true for that to be true that the burden of proof climbs exponentially. Does life exist elsewhere? Numerically, it has to be true. BUT consider that WE exist only due to a very difficult path of evolutionary survival including 4-5 mass extinctions and an evolutionary bottleneck of approximately 200 individuals in Eastern Africa. Other planets would also have "great filters" which would refine and allow some intelligent life to emerge which could also leave their planet. Also consider the distance to our nearest star system. At the scale where the sun is a pea, the closest star system at that scale would be over 124 miles away; and that doesn't even contain a planet which seems to contain life. Interplanetary travel is HARD. At those scales, light is SLOW in comparison and the energy and effort required and probability of success -- without some hypothetical, unproven travel method -- is slim. The desire for aliens to exist is similar to wanting attention on Instagram and Twitter -- we want the attention for personal reasons -- we're afraid of being alone. Wishful thinking is not proof. We seek salvation from ourselves hoping some interstellar mentors will save us from our own childish self-destruction. Unfortunately we must be the authors and finishers of our lot...or die by suicide. Apologies to A. Lincoln.

lohphat

As a slight change of pace, please consider checking out "Everybody's Talkin'" by Harry Nilsson [midnight cowboy soundtrack]

I hope we taste as bad as I imagine we would...

Fascinating and frightening. Also, nice Ed Wood reference. I believe these craft are made by a culture able to control gravity as easily as we control electricity. Please take a look. https://youtu.be/_IMUG9ZhohM?t=26

Kelly Parks

Two thoughts….1. It would seem to me that anything made of matter would obey the laws of physics when occupying this space time. Regardless of it’s origin. And B. If jokesters exist in the case of the crop circles, I imagine jokesters exist in Navies and Air Forces around the world.

Jim

If you see "undefinable targets", why go for the "aliens" explanation at all. More likely phenomena we don't know about. (or possibly a goose, as one person mentioned) And if spaceships could move in 5D, then there is physics in 5D and there may be natural phenomena in 5D.. Which then seem more likely than aliens, tbh...

Jasper

To make a long conversation short, I'm with Steve Hawking when it comes to a close encounter of the third kind. IF this evidence is valid (and it probably is), I hope they do NOT contact us this early in our tech development. If they do contact us, it will probably be more like the movie Independence Day than some ET love fest. Size really doesn't matter. Now what? Nothing....I hope.

Carol K Stouffer

Seeing these phenomena is a bit like Ada Lovelace being given an Atmega chip and instructions, without the instructions. We need more intuitive scientists!

Ymir the Frost Giant

Spread not only over space but also time. Vanishingly likely both dimensions would intercept with us, and then that the others would be so coy about everything.

Dan Swinehart

Aliens are certainly unhumanly shy.

Dan Swinehart

Again have a look at the Hessdalen phenomena. I don’t think this is isolated to just one valley in Norway and could explain a lot of the sightings. :) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hessdalen_lights Theories range from hydrogen/oxygen combustion due to lots of scandium there, macroscopic coulomb crystals in plasma produced by alpha particles from radon decay that form double helix shapes to static discharges creating the plasma due to piezoelectric charges being built up in the vast amount of granite in the mountains. The strange thing is temperature. It’s 8500 deg F. Anyway it could be so so so much we don’t understand that make us see objects that in fact are natural. :)

Here we thought they'd be white mice named Frankie and Benji, but the pandimensional beings are poking into our space as hypersonic flying objects.

Eric At Random

the universe is too vast for me to even understand and hurts my brain even trying to think about how it exists!

Boris von Shithousen

Realistically there cant just be the human species as a singular, if we were created then so must other beings.

Boris von Shithousen

When we find the source of energy for ball lightning we will be closer to understanding this.

Kendra Akin

Thanks for posting this, these are excellent videos which give good explanations for what is being seen.

David Peaker

I suspect they do pick these things up on other sensors or satellites quite often, where with more information they become identified and explained and are then are of no interest. We only get to see the odd things that are marked UFO as they just haven't enough information to identify what it is and it makes a good story or gets leaked out. Given we can spend billions of dollars sending rovers to Mars which appears to be nothing of interest life wise (yet anyway), and they even get pictures of the rovers sat on the surface of Mars from satellites orbiting another planet put there by man, that if NASA really believed earth was teaming with alien aircraft or had evidence of that, they'd not be looking for life on Mars would they, they'd be working much closer to home. If we can put a robot on another planet, I quite agree that we should be able to spot alien aircraft coming and going. If these are really alien aircraft, then they are just playing with us by darting about, little different to us getting cats excited with a laser pointer. Human kind is probably the laughingstock of some alien worlds equivalent of YouTube 😊

Leigh

Please know that I'm saying this with love for a fellow human being. Covid deniers desperately want the coronavirus to be fake news. They absolutely believe the we're genuinely being fooled. They're convinced by cherry picked data that has been interpreted by sympathetic characters who over-extrapolate and begin to believe what they're saying. And people lie. There are infinitely more wrong explanations than correct explanations, and we have to pursue the scientific concensus. It takes work. The tiny number of unfamiliar, spookily different to what we're used to, unidentified objects aren't weird, threatening or wrong, we just haven't worked them out yet. You're extrapolating from your perspective, which includes a certain amount of science, but not enough to argue about dimensions, for example. Please talk to Dave J. I'll happily zoom, but you don't know me, so I wouldn't expect you to be inclined to engage.

This is what I was thinking too. seems like tech to do training simulations.

If life exists on other planets, then they are also a very long way away so how do they get here? They need to break the laws of physics. It's flat earther territory to believe these are alien aircraft, as it means a person has to disregard all mankind's knowledge about science and physics whilst also believing the least plausible explanation for what these sightings are, exactly what flat earthers do :-) I'm quite open to the fact that the laws of physics might be wrong or incomplete and scientists are trying to break the laws of physics all the time by trying to prove faster than light travel, as one example that is relevant to explain how aliens get to visit us, but I'm not aware they have proven you can travel faster than light, yet anyway. I guess you could look at quantum physics and entanglement as an explanation perhaps of how something might seemingly travel instantly, but would such travel arrangements manifest as dots and discs flying around the sky ?

Leigh

I actually watched this documentary on 60 minutes this very morning while having breakfast, and was pretty amazed at the stories of the three pilots. There is definitely something happening, and I for one would like to learn more. I don't believe we are alone in this universe- there are just too many billions of similar earth type planetas out there, and who knows how adavanced some of them may be.

Mike Hughes

Not long ago we took witness statements and fuzzy VHS shaky footage or poorly taken photographs as evidence of UFO sightings and encounters, but now that everyone has 4K recording capabilities to hand 24/7 in their smart phones these encounters seemed to have dried up completely, or rather it is easier to identify from such footage a more down to earth explanation. The footage from these fighter planes we are seeing are back to fuzzy indistinct could be anything footage and we let our imaginations run away with all sorts of notions as we did in decades past. The reality is what we are seeing is either a hoax, something quite mundane and very much of this world, system malfunction, or some country testing out some new missile defence system or new type of drone. Drawing public awareness by releasing such footage usually coincides with some looming funding decision or someone releasing a book! Of course, there may be life on other planets and perhaps they are technically advanced enough to leave their planet as we have done and by some extraordinary amazing co-incidence, they are doing that in the same blink of an eye of mankind’s existence in this universe, but realistically how far can they get without throwing in ‘other dimensions’ as a vague explanation? Show me the evidence, I’m completely through with fuzzy video footage, don’t the military have drones with high resolution cameras plus satellites in space for seeing what is going on? Don’t they have better cameras on their aircraft to get a visual lock? Love the pictures of escaped helium balloons being photographed from aircraft cockpits :-)

Leigh

Well I've always been open minded about UFOs, yes I accept that these incidents were real but as someone else said this does not mean they are of alien origin. I will certainly not be unsubscribing from you channel or stop supporting you on Patreon. Like you I am a scientist and I want answers. We can all look forward to hearing more.

Dr Andy Hill

Thank you Fran. I am glad to see you joining in and calling our attention to a serious topic of discussion. With the Pentagon due to release its report this next month to Congress, serious investigation and analysis of this phenomenon should help calm some of the wild and fanciful speculation that has been ongoing for years. Hopefully this will provide, if not specific answers, at least help focus the discussion and investigative processes in a rational and logical direction.

Let's say hypothetically that this is some real next level technology, and maybe of extraterrestrial origin. It's funny that after all the years of wishful conspiracy theories and abduction stories, that a gov dept will publicly announce that they're baffled by these encountered, and no one is really ready to believe it. I grew up watching Cosmos and In Search Of too, obsessed with and dreaming of UFOs as a child, and theoretically it seems reasonable that we're visited or observed, and I feel ready, but I'm not really convinced yet by these disclosures. It's too vague, short excerpts with no extra info to back them up. Give me the whole damn video, and some more videos, and the accompanying related observations and data. What if the pilots or the Navy or Pentagon have some other agenda and want to get the public talking about this for some reason. Who the fuck knows. Crazier things have been done in the past. I'm skeptical but also open to more info. I'll be thrilled to think I'm witnessing something beyond the tech I know. Keen for this report!

Dan Elleson

Sorry Fran, but you are off the mark on this one. The fast flying one over the water has been debunked as a large goose or similar. You can calculate this using the HUD and camera data. Would be naive to believe the others similarly don't have suitable explanations. Don't just blindly believe pilots, they aren't technical critical thinkers. And the lure of having your head on telly with a fantastic story is a big one. I always laugh when I think of the ultralight pilot the Mythbusters got for Plane on a conveyor belt who didn't think it would work.

EEVblog

Laser plasma technology to create false targets seems plausible... https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/research/a32452418/3d-plasma-object-ufos/ If the laser were on a satellite, it would be like us toying with a cat using a laser pointer in a room. That would also explain really quick deflections, and the ability to turn on and off. I also wonder if it might be something top secret mounted on the planes that these pilots are flying, that they don't even know about. For research purposes, it would be good to know if these false targets could be detected and tracked by pilots.

We have satellites constantly monitoring all activity around the globe, with very high resolution imagery. Why have they not picked up these phenomena in better imagery so they can be analyzed? I hate to poo poo this so much, but it reminds me a little of all the grainy photos of "Big Foot" that I grew up with. We can spot the slightest anomaly in the consistency of our ozone layer, or that a Russian fighter jet encroached 400 yards into another country's air space, but we can't determine with certainty that an alien space ship has made it through into our atmosphere for a joyride! Wish it were true but the evidence seems too unreliable.

Peter Knazko

Well, I watched the 60 Minutes UFO story last Sunday and I don’t know what they could be either. They don’t seem to be a threat, so I’m not really alarmed. If the Navy lost an F-18 because of one of these encounters, then maybe there would be a lot more secret aspects to the sightings than what we’ve been shown. What I don’t understand is if these are SO “COMMON”, why doesn’t the Navy develop a sensor pod that can be mounted to an aircraft to study these things specifically. The radar and optical sensor suites that are built into modern fighters are designed to look for things we know the properties of. Radar reflections, heat signatures, and even the human eye are all tailored to find a “known physical target” that follows the properties of matter that we understand. Even the existing target tracking systems of an F-18 can lock onto these unknown targets, so they’re already easy to spot and track. A sensor suite that provides measurements in light wavelengths we don’t normally look at, along with thermal imaging and flexible radar, could tell us a lot more. We need to move beyond what we currently accept as fact regarding the properties of matter. We need to be more creative and accepting of things we don’t understand. Get a creative team from NASA, and everyplace else, and create a sensor pod(s) with everything we can think of and get some better imaging and data of these “COMMON” UFOs. Existing sensors are obviously not enough.

Matt Wietlispach

Flatland! I read that ages ago; I even have the sequel "Flatterland"... I believe there is a 100% chance of life elsewhere in the universe. I also hope it is smart enough to stay away from here. This place is insane.

Cold War Motors

True, it is UFO’s. But we do not know if these objects are of an alien origin. Like here in Norway we have an valley where you frequently can see objects that glow in the air. It moves, then stops for long periods, move again incredible fast - like miles and miles in less than a second. They have substance and can be seen on infrared as well as radar. They often appear in pairs with different or the same color, dancing around each other or moving in tandem. There is even an guy being chased in his car! What scientists have discovered is that the mountains and ground soil in and surrounding the valley contain substances that combined create plasma that emits lights and move with the flow and currents of earths magnetic fields - so it has been real UFO’s but was not alien but something very much of our earth but phenomena we didn’t yet understand. I very much believe there are lots of ufo’s around us, but I think they are results of effects happening in nature around us that we don’t know enough about yet or are close to understanding yet. It could be freak effects of quantum physics even. This is my belief about UFO’s anyway and everyone is entitled to have their own opinions on the matter. If you are curious about the Norwegian phenomenon look up Hessdalen.

Lt. David Fravor spoke to a group in Oregon last summer. He is the epitome of a jet jockey. His enthusiasm for the UAP he chased was very convincing. He wanted so badly to have a crack at flying such a craft himself! He is not a UFO enthusiast, but he is a flight enthusiast. Combined with the supporting imagery, he makes a remarkable case for verifying the existence of UAP. Hope the report doesn't attempt to whitewash his evidence.

With all our great technology, why are there precisely focused pictures?

Rick Lett

I agree. The Navy probably knows quite well what they captured in the videos, and that it's not in any way extraterrestrial.

Mr. BA

Yes, Mick West's explanations are very plausible. As much as I'd love for these images to be showing actual aliens coming down to visit us, if the US gov't really thought that was the case, the implications would be absolutely game changing for our existence. Geopolitics and social cohesion would be turned upside down. It would simply be a humanity-changing event to conclude that these are life forms not from our planet. Short of nuclear war, Fran, I can't think of anything else more disruptive to our social order (such as it is) on earth than to have a confirmed encounter with beings or technologies visiting us from the universe.

Peter Knazko

Mick West has made some great videos explaining the Navy UFO footage. https://youtu.be/Q7jcBGLIpus

Mr. BA

i’ve been thinking about this too fran :-/

They have always been around. Skinwalker Ranch too.
