Dev Diary, April 14th, 2023
Added 2023-04-14 12:09:48 +0000 UTCI've been trying to finish up all the visuals this week so I can jump into Ren'Py mode for the rest of the time until release. Because there's a whole lot to test and tweak.
Didn't quite get to where I wanted, but I almost did, so I'm counting that as a win.
Numbers are now at 13,722 frames of animation and 1,771 story renders.
I've got some very good news for you who are interested in the music for the game.
You might remember Faith Richards from the Leap of Faith soundtrack. I had a talk with her this week, and she will join up with a song made exclusively for u4ia.
So I'm getting there, and pre-release jitters have slowly started to make an appearance, but I can't wait to show the result of what I've been working on.
I am also crossing my fingers that Ren'Py 8.1 will be released within the next few weeks, as that release will solve the 'stuttering animations' on mid, to low-end computers.
Anyway, we're getting there, good people... and it's shaping up to be a nice one.

Have you ever posted a (SFW version, of course) workflow video of setting up a fairly typical render? I'm interested in the process, especially from someone I follow as opposed to a generic youtube guy.

I especially like "Blue" (very fitting song to a memorable scene). Can't wait to hear what she'll come up with for the game!
