A couple announcements....

Ok, a couple of announcements.

I'm still setting up my Subscribestar.adult account, I'll get it finished at some point soonish. I'm currently dedicating the majority of my time working on TMU as there is a ton of work to do and I want to push through as fast as I can. I'll make an announcement once I've got that sorted out.

I'm also pleased to announce a new member to the TMU dev team, @Mayama! ๐Ÿ˜†

It's been months since the last update to the game. I didn't plan on this taking this long, but there's been some major changes to the project.......

I'm pleased to announce that we've been working on adding multiplayer to the game!! >: D

Plans for the singleplayer haven't changed. Multiplayer is being added in addition to what was already planned, it replaces nothing. Multiplayer will be themed loosely around the singleplayer story.

I can't promise what will happen, but I'm going to give it my best shot. People have been requesting multiplayer on and off pretty much since the beginning of the project. I never wanted to do it because multiplayer is far outside my wheelhouse and I have no experience with it. None of my old projects have had it as a feature.

I've spent the past several weeks studying everything I can on Unity multiplayer. I've taken 140 pages of notes so far and counting; I haven't studied this hard since university. I think I have a few more weeks of work before I know everything I need to know. I think we can make this work.


Multiplayer will be class-based team-vs-team, humans vs catgirls. There will be four classes to play as, represented by each of the characters currently in the game (selecting your character selects your class). Your goal is to earn more points than the other team by the end of the round. Maps will be symmetrical, with dungeons on each side and a main level in between. You'll have a variety of BDSM-themed weapons to fight with (a flogger, a whip, a riding crop and a spanky paddle).

You earn points by defeating members of the other team, tying them up and taking them to your team's dungeon. You also earn points by rescuing members of your team who have been taken by the enemy.

Since some people might want to play coop or offline, or you don't have enough players to fill the teams, we're going to implement new AI specifically for the multiplayer mode.

We're going to start implementing it by creating the offline mode first, which will allow us to develop the AI and new gameplay mechanics without worrying about netcode. The actual online multiplayer will follow as soon as we get a certain amount built successfully.

I can't give a schedule on this just yet as I'm still taking notes and learning how multiplayer works. As soon as I can I'll hop back on the game and try to get the next version out. Pontikue and Mayama are working on TMU's code re-write in the background.

I know this will become TMU's most loved feature. I'm going to do the best job I possibly can to make this happen. Look forward to it!
