CYOA with Mark #1

Okay, here's the first edition of the Choose Your Own Adventure comic. Hanko gave me an overview of what he wanted, and funnily enough, also something I had to think of in terms of the in-universe rules for the comic that I'd honestly never considered before. He wanted a picture of Mark's best friend and mother pre-swap to show what they looked like prior. Then I went.. 'Oh wait a minute. How am I going to do this? Mark needs to be in it too.'

Mark is unaware, the other two will be fully aware. So logically (and by that I mean Steamrolled-goofball-logic) reality has warped around Mark's swap. How people see him.. think he's supposed to look.. etc etc.

Through the power of 'swap magic' past representations of Mark have to suit his current form so nothing is noticeably out of place. The swap occurs, but everyone goes about their business as if it's normal. No past reality should contradict his current. To him or others. However, for Mark's mom and friend Joey, reality doesn't warp. They are certainly in a panic.

In conclusion, swapee's unawareness means everything in their life gets retconned. Mark gets changed in all past experiences, aware swapees do not. I will still allow some internal conflicts with the characters from time to time. Logical or emotional, since their former experiences with themselves, and how they were, can kinda creep back in. Like a fleeting feeling of dejavu that suddenly passes. I think it adds to the humor, as their mind is trying to adapt to all the magical mental gymnastics.

Oh, and I just drew the name of our writer for the next installment. See discord for that! :D
