I hope you're doing well and that 2020 isn't too insane for you.
I am so happy to show up in your mailbox today with a photoshoot that I LOVE.
Lisa discovered my work through my client/friend Marie Boiseau and came all the way from Paris to book a photoshoot with me. I am so thankful for it.
She was of course a bit anxious about it, but her nervousness had absolutely no impact on the beautiful human she is, as you can tell by the pictures.
She is a 19yo illustrator, full of dreams, questions, challenges, and doubts and I think I needed to meet her at least as much as she needed this session.
Young people are so precious.
I really love the social aspect of my work, that I missed since I stopped tattooing. Meeting someone in these conditions, and seeing them for the first time, with all their vulnerabilities and doubts, glowing with all their truth in my safe space, is something I deeply cherish and that gives me so much wonderful feelings. Every single photo session is so unique, precious and such a special growing experience.
I want my sessions to be a special moment for the people who book them, where they can reconnect with themselves and their beautiful uniqueness. I want them to leave my art studio with a heart full of love and hope, and I see this happening more and more.
Okay, I'll stop talking about it now, because you have other stuff to do than reading my monolog about how much I love my job.
