[DELAY] Spacegirl Date Desp Needs Extra Time (+preview images!)

tldr; The next animation wont be done by the 20th. I'd like to have it done by the 31st, but I suspect it could go into next month, there's quite a lot left. Drawing requests will still happen this month either way. Thank you for your patience!

I just wanted to let you know that I wont hit my normal animation release date of the 20th. I hope this isn't too unexpected, since I said a few days ago that this one would probably take longer than usual.

Things are going along well, of course, and I'm putting my all into this one. I just didn't wanna wait till like, the 19th to break the news. I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone who was eagerly awaiting the release the next day. There are still 8 more days, of course, so anything could happen, but a normal release window seems doubtful.

All the linework/coloring is completed, but I still need to do backgrounds, face animation, and all the wonderful poop stuff (this part will take a while! the ending is quite long).

I hope you understand, and don't feel too disappointed. A few months ago, people voted for me to spend 2 months on the Teacher animation. I ultimately only needed one month (the pitch black scenes made it go faster than I expected), but I'm assuming that patrons will be okay with me spending more time on this one. The original Hailey Date animation took about a month and a half, so sometimes these animations are worth going late on. IIRC, I haven't been late since that animation, which was years ago, now (if you can believe it).

Anyway, here is some info regarding future scheduling, as well as your patron benefits. I'd still like to finish the animation by the end of the month (as well as finish some drawing requests). This isn't a guarantee, but it's my current goal, and I'll let you know beforehand if I'm not gonna hit it.

If I finish the animation by the end of the month, then all that really means is that the schedule for future animations will get pushed back slightly. They'd probably release roughly near the end of each month, rather than on the 20th. They would still have the same development time of 1 month (I'd like to not do any huge projects that put me overdue again, not for a while), it's just that the normal release date will have changed.

If I'm being honest, this is sort of good for production. Normally when an animation idea wins a poll, I have about 3 weeks to write the script, and receive voice acting. My voice actresses have been very very reliable up to this point, but you never know when unforeseen circumstances could delay them. Having an extra 1 or 2 weeks of buffer would add some more security to this part of the process. Of course, it means you'll have to wait slightly longer to see the winning poll option be developed into a finished animation, but I hope that you agree that the extra time for the VAs is a good thing, and will ensure that my animations continue to consistently have voice acting.

The cartoon is definitely on track to be completed, it's just longer and more complex than the animations I've been making the past few years. I'm really really excited with how it's turning out, and I appreciate that people were excited by the audio.
