Calvin here with my first official update on the Starlight Tactiles page!
This post is just to give you all a huge thank you for the warm welcome of myself, my team and respective community that have been flowing into this now shared space.
2025 has come with a series of trials that made it very difficult at times for the team and unfortunately some of that has been reflected in the work we were able to produce during this time.
But no more! With the team back to being full and the help of our friends with the new studio I’m hopeful that going forward Cleaved will be in a position where we aim to be more consistent with our release schedule and we hope you’ll enjoy the new content that’ll be coming your way in the new year!

Good day all, and to those that celebrate, Merry Christmas.
It has been one rollercoaster of a year, and I'm certainly ending it very different from how I imagined.
I wanted to give you all an update as to how things are going.
Firstly, on a personal note, my mother's mass has reacted positively to the second round of chemo, after the first type (who knew chemo had types) didn't show any change. She will go through one more round and then rest to regain her white blood cell count before her surgery, but things are looking well in that aspect.
In terms of In Finite Space I have finally managed to complete the script for the next build. Writing has not come easy for this chapter, and I was hoping to bash out the last one and this one with relative ease given the content and lack of extensive assets, but here we are. I can only apologise its taken so long, but I am hoping to be back on track now.
Asset generation for future builds is still underway, and some of the completed ones are truly amazing and I cannot wait to finally be able to show them off next year and the next.
Our new partners over at Cleaved as well have had a flurry of activity. I will leave Cal to give you all an update on what's going on there, but it's exciting seeing them work towards the next steps in the story.
I also have been in communication trying to start some products for merch. It's unfortunately a lengthy process, given the negotiations on pricing and logistics. Those of you that may remember our early attempts with the pins we made for IFS may recall there were a few issues and hidden fees I did not foresee that happened when shipping to Europe and USA. The pins were always a test for me for the pricing for stuff and I have used that feedback and knowledge to try and build into production and distribution so that it won't have as much of an impact to delivery and pricing. However that does mean things just inevitably take a longer time to get sorted.
As we do look to 2026 I am reminded again of how amazing the community we have, the great people who read and support us and I am warmed to my core with love for you all.

As you are aware from the recent news we will be changing our Patreon to Starlight Tactiles. I am happy to announce that this will take place from December.
Below are the new tiers that we will be offering, as well as the new price ranges that they offer.
From the 1st of December the server will have a restructure to accommodate the new areas for Cleaved.
The Patreon changes will go live on Sunday 30th November. This will allow everyone to change their pledges to what suits them best before the new month starts.
I want to take this moment to thank all of those that have supported In Finite Space up to this point. We would not be able to expand and grow without everything you have done already.

This change impacts credits in all VNs and the poll system. While my own efforts to offer options for choices (you all recall trying to get both sex scenes for Eryx you greedy lot) did not go well we will try and do more, and Cleaved has historically offered polls and choices for specials and side content, such as the **Cleaved Christmas Special**.
Cavalry - £25.00 / Month (10 slots) - In Finite Space Specific Tier
In certain chapters you get your character added to a future background. A SFW reference must be provided to Bastion and will be added to a pool. Starlight Tactiles and IFS does reserve the right to remove characters of anyone who gets banned, or removed from the community.
Icon of your sona added to the credits page and is yours to keep.

The Cavalry tier and now a corresponding tier for Cleaved are for those that want to support one VN most of all. You still get access to all VNs, but your cameo BG appearance is catered to the VN you want to appear in.
Archon – £200.00 / 6 Months (Limited to 5 total.) - In Finite Space Specific Tier
You will be given a private consultation with Bastion and work on making a character that will appear in In Finite Space. This will include Sprites, screen appearances, CGs and lines. Additionally your chosen character will be permanently added to the pool for BG appearances.
This tier is a fixed time payment tier, at £200 per month for 6 months. Please make sure you are able to comfortably pay before choosing this tier. These payments will pay for the creation of your character and upon completion of payment you will be able to change to another tier of your choosing.

Woo boy. Yeah these are our BIIIG tier rewards. These have been requested for some time, but if you want to put a character or sona you have into these VNs then these new tiers are for you. These are limited to 5 and will not refresh, so once they are gone they are gone. At certain points in each VN development we may reopen these if more characters are needed. I will stress again that only those that can comfortably pay for these tiers should do so. I do not want anyone to put their own living situations into struggles for this. However I am excited to offer this.
It's taken negotiations and agreements to finalise these new tiers and what we offer. As we potentially add more projects to the roster and fill out what can be offered we may be able to offer even more.
Hello all. This is a special and important announcement over something we have had in the works for a while now.
In Finite Space will now fall under the banner of a new production studio Starlight Tactiles!!!
As well as IFS I am ecstatic to say that we will be bringing FVN Cleaved along for the journey with us.
I’ve had the great pleasure of getting to know Cal over the last year and it brings me great joy to have him on board.
What does this mean for IFS and everyone supporting us, Cleaved, or both.
Well no need to panic. IFS will still be written and produced by myself, and Cal will still be championing creating Cleaved.
What this does mean is that we both have a wider range of access to resources to make both our VNs even better.
This also means some restructuring to our Patreon as we change to Starlight Tactiles. You don’t have to do anything at present as we take a month to work on the background stuff.
What is exciting is that the new tiers we offer will give Patreon members early access benefits to both IFS and Cleaved, as well as some newer special tiers.
From a Discord server side the Cleaved team will be moseying on over here, and we will be adding additional roles, and channels to accommodate everyone, with options so you can choose to see only stuff from IFS, Cleaved or from both.

Updates are slow and I'm sorry, but good news today my mum started chemo. My mind has been all over the place though and I will admit its taken its toll on the writing, however I have started up again, bit by bit.
However asset production has never stopped as well as a very exciting announcement to come very soon.
In terms of the next build I will get it out before the end of the year, that is my goal and I want to hit it sooner rather than later.
I will be showing off some new stuff soon in hopes to get you all excited for what is to come, and thank you ever so much as always for the continued love and support.
Things are moving ahead with the next build. Some assets are coming in for the next build and beyond that I am really excited about. It always feels really odd sitting on stuff that I can't share for up to a year from now, but know that I cannot wait for you to see them.
Some wonderful news that Basch, our most beloved Sprite/CG artist got married, so many happy feelings and thoughts over to him and his partner for the life they are building together.
Music and bgs are going, with some that have taken some time to prepare but almost ready for the next stage.
On a personal note my mum got diagnosed with breast cancer. It's been caught early and the prognosis is really good. We were hoping that it would be dealt with surgery and hormone treatment, but they want to give her some rounds of chemo to really make sure its dealt with. So I will be taking some time, when she goes in, to be with her and help her through the sickness that follows. It's upsetting, but we are staying positive and she's a fighter.
I am working on the script in free time from everything and will try to keep on pace to get the next one out before the Xmas holidays (hopefully).
The online saga of issues with censorship has been a very traumatic time, but we are still pushing forward, and we are visible again on itch.io, though many are not and are still struggling. Keep up the fight.
Now onto better and bigger news. In an upcoming chapter, not the next one, this will be next year, there is a lot going on, and although we will still be showcasing our excellent Cavalry tier in the BGs for that build, I feel its still not enough and just silhouettes won't do it justice. Therefore I am happy to announce that we will be doing a special In Finite Space Cameo BG Giveaway so that you can have your Character/OC/Sona appear in these backgrounds too. YES. That is right, you can get your character to appear in one of our BGs for a special chapter.
More details will follow, but we will be taking winners from various platforms, from the Discord server, and our public socials as well, to give everyone a chance to win. For our paid tiers we will be holding separate chances as well in the respective channels that I will reach out to when we launch. I'll make sure you are all made aware when we plan to hold this and as long as you have a reference then you have a chance.

Itch has shadowbanned/unindexed us and practically all FVNs that I read. It's an appalling situation and all of us are shook and are waiting to see what befalls us. Itch.io have put out their statement and will be reviewing their policies. We at IFS have never asked for money on itch and I hope that will mean something, but even if we are spared the guillotine, it is against our own message of resisting an outside and dangerous threat if we just let this happen.
The pressure from Visa and Mastercard may come to Patreon. I don't think it will, and I hope it won't, since Patreon has always been very supportive of NSFW and Adult content, but it might happen and we will have to rethink how and where we do things.
However. In Finite Space has always been, and will continue to be, unapologetically adult in nature. Sexuality, Freedom of Expression, and Self has been a cornerstone of this visual novel and I refuse to bend to the whims of those who think we shouldn't.
Regardless of the scary times ahead, regardless of how we do it, where we do it, and when we do it, In Finite Space WILL continue. We will fight tooth, nail and claw for the right to produce this.
We know not everyone is in a position themselves to fight, or know how. There is no worry there, just your support is enough, your thoughts of us are valid. If you can, go on socials, rally on the petitions, and talk to people about this abhorrent abuse of power and censorship.

Good afternoon all. Very excited to say Build 7 is now available to you all.
Thank you all again and again for the patience and support. Some notes: We have added a new Calbex sprite to the end of Chapter 6, and some music to earlier builds, but those tracks will appear in this chapter too. We have some interface stuff, that was a nightmare to get the Android versions to work with. If there is anything janky please let us know. This build is a bit smaller since its our first build with a choice to make. Please remember that no choices you make impact the overall story, so please enjoy whatever choice you want and be happy with the choice YOU make. A million more thanks to all my team who work so hard on every aspect on this and to you, for supporting and reading.
I am so pumped to say the final CGs are coming in after final approvals on the sketches and they are AMAZING. Cannot wait for you all to see them.
The music we are making, which are all character themes, are also being completed after a long process (I am far too particular about getting each of their vibes just right)
We were aiming to try and get the build out for our anniversary, but we are not quite there, but I'd definitely say we're in the final hurdle. It is possible that we may need to wait for public for some of the final polish, as we have some Renpy UI stuff to work on and figure out, but as soon as I have a firm idea of when we are able to release I'll give you the heads up.
The script is back from its edits and the team are assembling things as we wait for the last few assets to come in. Please enjoy this sneak peek of some of what is to come in the next build. We are aiming to land it at the end of the month, pending any last minute hiccups.

Good day all, please see a requested height chart for the cast. Corwan's speculative concept is here to give reference and his final version will be posted once we have gotten it done and decided on. We are working with this as we make more CGs for the next update, which I must say look amazing already. Can't wait to get this next one to you all.
With Public release of Build 6 I wanted to let you know what's happening in terms of development for Build 7:
Concepts are being made of Corwan/MC now so that we can finally put a face to the name. We are going to have a few mocked up as I never had a solid idea in mind for what he should look like, and I'll show them off here and potentially even get you all to offer your choices for which one should then be finalised and then used for various upcoming CGs.
this was mostly done to offer more freedom and 'camera' positions for scenes that aren't all from Corwan/MC's POV.
Script work is already well into the way, as the next build does not potentially need any sprites or bgs we can focus on getting more CGs in and hopefully make this a much faster turn around.
Looking forwards to other things we have another big chapter on the horizon, and while its still a few builds away, after all the work, effort, and figuring out timings on assets for the big Build 5 chapter, I have decided to start working towards the next few months with this in mind.
Our talented musicians are given some of the hardest parts the next few months in making all the character themes. We are hoping to get Cannon and Eryx completed next, with Cyrox and Xaria shortly after.
Basch, who blew the animation scene of Brut out of the water, is (as said above) working on the concepts, but then will be focussed on CGs.
After the next build we'll be angling for new outfits, more expressions, and other quality of life elements to help us make the characters shine even more. Then he will be focussing on some advanced stuff we have in the works that likely won't be seen until next year given the scope of how far ahead I'm looking and planning. Truly Basch is a blessing and I am humbled with his continued work on the project and patience with me.
Azzy our most esteemed editor will be whipping me into place over all the mistakes I make, especially past tenses XD (love you Azzy), and truly the backbone of the team, giving me so so much support and guidance that I can firmly say without Azzy we would not be here and continuing.
All our BG artists, although have a bit of a break for turnaround, will be hard at work on far future bgs that we will need for big chapters to come, which is fantastic because Sci Fi concept work for BGs can take a lot of revisions and discussions. All of them have smashed it out of the park in Build 6 and it shows how much they can do.
Our Renpy team as well, though their work is only ever admired in the showing of a new Build, are never resting, always working on codes, checking out other VNs for things and methods to make ours better, and overall busy making sure the characters pop on screen, as well as adhere to my, sometimes, unrealistic asks for stuff. They still deliver constantly though so massive love.
With all that said the next build has a LOT of fun in store, especially dealing with that cliff hanger. I promise I won't leave the next one that way.
In terms of myself, I am still currently to secure a new job, which is frustrating, but I am positive something will appear soon. The massive and humbling support from you is absolutely appreciated as it allows us to keep the VN ticking over in the background without needing my own dipping in at present, which is all I could ever want.
We are looking into future merchandising options, though with the current state of global trade a lot of companies are much more cautious about going into production, so please bear with us trying to seal a deal.

Hello all. It has been a while, but we are finally here with Build 6 release. With some vacations, sicknesses, and overall Holiday seasons hitting the production took a bit longer on this one, but we are getting back into the swing of things.

Wow what a year it's been for us. Some hard work, lessons learnt and already the story is in full swing.
I cannot thank you all enough for all the support. It has allowed us to continue and keep putting out the quality of what I want from this project.
Looking forward to what to expect in 2025. I'd like to say 3-4 builds are what I will aim for, though it depends on asset progression and other factors of course. We won't rush the work and it will be ready when it is.
That being said the last chapter certainly opened my eyes to what kinds of things I need to get moving ahead of time. Which means I have to start thinking 3-4 chapters ahead in terms of any big productions we will make again.
On a good note though we closed out 2024 with the next script being completed and sent off to our lovely editor. we also have bgs flowing in and new sprite work for our long awaited Cannon. Everyone has had some time off over the holiday season, but we are raring back to full speed now. Once we get something to show I'll make sure you all can see ahead of the release.

Phew what a month. I can't believe we finally got the build out, but your reception and the new people signing up to the patreon really makes me emotional.
I was very nervous about this build, and for those of you who have gone through it fully, I imagine you know why.
There were a lot of moving parts in this one, as well as a particularly large number of assets needed, but the whole team came together to produce something I am so happy about and really hit what I wanted on the head.
That being said it hasn't been without complications. I think all the members of the team at one time or another had IRL stuff impacting them that needed tackling. From computer malfunctions to sickness its been a roller coaster.
What I have learnt from this though is the need to future plan for when we have these larger builds, and to start assembling assets builds in advance. Worry not though, the next build isn't going to be as big (I can't do that every time) and we can concentrate on getting some small number of extra assets in to make it just right.
As for Build 5, we are still working on it. That scene will have a few, fully animated sections that we will be adding as we go, since they do take a long time to make, but look forward to the public release which will have added assets included.
As for the next build we can finally start working on the last, but certainly not least, central member of the crew Cannon Tobbs, Alex's knight and a huge barrel of bear, as well as a visit to the city outside the complex.
Once again I am forever grateful for all your support, from the ones who have been with us from day one, to those just signing up, it all helps, and means we can move forward faster with getting the pieces we need for the story.
I could cry its been so hard getting this one done, but thank you all for your patience.

It has been a little while since I've posted a devlog, but I want to reassure any that may have any concerns that we are still working away (so darn hard -.-) to get the next build ready and released.
The final assets are due in this week, and the frame work of the Renpy side of things is fully underway, with us bringing on a third member of the team to help distribute the load and speed up turnaround.
While I would have loved to have the build out before month end it looks like getting the nitty gritty parts (aka sprite movement, expressions, syncing sounds and animations, queuing up music etc) is gonna take a bit longer, which makes sense given the size of the build and all the new parts we have to deal with.
However we are in the final stretch and it will be just final polishes to get it out to you all.
We will be missing some full CGs that we wanted to get done, but once the build is out I'll be discussing fully the scope of the build, what we planned and what we will do working forward. I am waiting till its out to do so as it would spoil the build heavily beforehand.
On a sadder point it came to my scope a while ago that a third party website has managed to gain access to, and post, Patreon content from here to there for free, and refuses to accept the Cease and Desist request, so I have been wondering how to combat it.
For the time being I will only post content like art, music, and builds to the Discord server for stuff that isn't going to be shared publicly.
This is not ideal but will at least prevent thieving attempts. Stuff that will be shown on our Twitter account after a delay will still be posted here first.

Although we hope to have some updates for you soon in regards to the VN, this post is to clarify about Apple and Apple Pay. They are increasing their prices and thrusting those charges in addition to either you or us. They will be increasing iStore Patreon purchases and subscriptions and add fees to those that pay through Apple Pay.
I am not sure how many, if any, use Apple Pay, but please consider changing to another method to avoid these additional fees that do not benefit us at all and only go to Apple.
I do not foresee a way to get out of these fees unless they suddenly reverse their decision so please be aware.

I cannot believe I am actually making a 1 year anniversary post. It has been one of the most rewarding years of my life, and a hell of a lot of it was from the gracious and continued support of you all.
And we have a lot to show for it. The story is progressing at a good pace, we have a growing community of readers who engage daily and I adore reading all comments and responses to In Finite Space.
While we were aiming to release Chapter 5 today, with the delays to some spriting and other assets still to get finished we are delayed I am sad to say, but work is still going smoothly when it arrives. I'm not going to earmark a day planned for the release, in case more IRL things happen that could slow this important build down, but I'll be letting you know as we go.
In the meantime the Itch page is getting a facelift for the occasion which should change in the next few days.
Speaking of please look at three of our squires, all kitted out and ready for a fight. Looks like they are going to be up close and personal. Additionally I am thoroughly ecstatic to show off the theme for the belligerent wolf Brut, which has been worked on by the amazing HyenaBlood, who will be handling all the Squire themes. It's amazing so please enjoy.

Good day all. I wanna break down the status of the upcoming build below:
So some good news and some not so good.
· First off the build script is done, and is through the first round of edits, its a chonker of a build so sweet Azzy has been rolling up his sleeves and working really hard on it. Once I clear up the first edits it'll be back to Azzy for round two!!
· Next off BG's. As this build has a lot of cinematic shots we are pulling out a lot of shots and have brought in additional artists to make sure we can keep the workflow moving at a good pace. With some already being shown off. We're on track to get these feasts for the eyes in at a lovely pace.
· Music is gearing up for first drafts. HyenaBlood has just moved house!!! So happy for him and his husband, though the stress of moving and cleaning up the old place is always a headache (I remember my last move). Greyson as well has just come back from a fantastic time at Confuzzled and has had both a great relaxing time, as well as amazing networking opportunities (fingers crossed on future secrets) We'll share some of the parts of what they create in a later update ;3 · Sprites and something special is where we are having a few hiccups. Poor Basch has been struck with power outages and surges which has caused massive delays but also fried his primary PC. We're still working ahead and around things, but having to shift expected timeframes now. We'll be catching up soon to try and decide what to prioritise, we may end up releasing the Patreon build with some WIPS, though if we need more time we will take it.
So overall we're in a great part of the development. Our Renpy team with Coby and Vrittle have the hardest job ahead which will be to put all the parts together in a cohesive and action packed manner. I'll be assisting with that as much as I can (which is really me trying to get my directions and thoughts across, but Coby always takes my notes and flies away with them in amazing ways I would never have thought of, and Vrittle always buckles down with coding solutions. Both of which are super appreciated.
We will still aim for an end of month situation, but depending on what assets need the time to get in means we may have to change release date. I will be as clear and transparent with progress as we go forward and get closer and closer to completion.
Good day all. Please have a gander at an upcoming bg for the next build. Done by the sensational Kinu, who is joining us, I think we can all agree how amazing this is. We are all working very hard to gather assets in. The script is in the first round of edits and some sprites are starting to come in, with some unfortunate delays due to weather and power outages. But we keep on trucking. Look forward to more stuff soon.
So Build 4 is now public, and the support and love for it has been fantastic. That being said we have not been sitting on our laurels.
Even before you all got to read chapter 4 we were working away at Build 5, which as you can imagine, is going to be a very important one, and sort of a mid-ish point to the first arc of the story.
We have new concept artists who have been hard at work on both KAU and Plague designs.
Our music team are making a bunch of new tracks.
New sprite clothing, positions and expressions are being drawn up as we speak, as well as new CGs and a special surprise as well.
This build is going to be very big, and important, and I wanna make sure it lands right for you all. So while we gather all the pieces we need I am so thankful for your continued patience. We are aiming to release Build 5 around our anniversary at the end of June. Of course every step of the way you will get to see all WIP and designs and snippets as we lead towards a very jam packed build. Thank you once again for your support, it makes all of the asset acquisition that little bit easier and I cannot state how much it means.

One note though:
We have an issue wherein the Android version does not display some ST-IK messages as intended. We will work on a hot fix for this. For now it just reads in the regular text box.
