Quick filming update

This week marks probably the last week I'll be filming analysis videos until I get back from maternity leave. Next week we'll be in SLC doing vocal research with 4 of the artists.

I have the Patreon Poll results, and R.E.M. won the top spot. So I'll honor that, even though I am familiar with the song and already had it on my list.

Regarding the following options on the Patron Poll:
Skunk Anansie: I've already analyzed her on the channel, and while I want to do more, considering it tied with another artist I feel inclined to choose another.
Lawrence: While this tied with Skunk, I just filmed a Lawrence analysis which will release on YouTube soon.
Dir En Grey: I've heard a bit of their work on Patron playlists, and I do like some of their sound - but not really something I want to dive into atm.
Alien Weaponry: I'm VERY intrigued by their sound, their story and think this would make a great addition to the channel.

So, I am going to analyze Alien Weaponry as well for this month.

Thank you, all!

Bests,
Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, Your commentary is always so incisive and accurate and it brings an extra dimension to the appreciation of the music. I am a little surprised that in all of the music you have reviewed I see no commentary on Van Morrison. To my mind, one of the great musicians of our generation with a library of incredible songs many of which most have never heard. Of course we all know his famous Brown Eyed Girl and Gloria, but there is so much more in his musical canon, and he truly is worth a deep dive. His musicality, his arrangements, his vocal phrasing are all beautiful and unique. I would LOVE to hear your review of any of the following : And the Healing Has begun from the album Into the Music Into the Mystic from the album Moondance Ballerina from the album Astral Weeks This barely scratches the surface of what is available but once you start on this journey with Van it's very hard to stop. I hope the comment finds its way to you for review. Thanks for your contributions MJE

I'm full of admiration~ watching your videos is pure joy! I'm a speech language pathologist, so my training has included analyzing speech sound production (and surrounding anatomy!) from a completely different perspective! It's absolutely awesome to listen to it all being discussed in a musical environment! Thank you so much for sharing your insights in songs I've loved forever!
