2023-11-13 14:27:21 +0000 UTCMy radical conspiracy theory that I don’t even think is probable is that the public/official narrative was created during Operation Paperclip. At the time we didn’t know that serotonin was an endogenous neurotransmitter, and were heavily investing in mind control matters. I imagine neuropharmacologists were viewed as the type of scientists we would have rather incorporated to our side rather than prosecuting. Again that’s my most out there theory. I wouldn’t put money on it because the official narrative is so much simpler and more realistic aside from the minutiae that only obsessed or professionally trained people would question/notice.

2023-11-08 11:55:59 +0000 UTCI personally love mythology and have researched many types of belief systems and that's how I came across that information. When you heavily study mythologies and the occult a like it makes sense why they were fascinated with psychedelics.

Also the experiments they did with people are weird too but still a very interesting topic nonetheless. It has a lot to do with the occult and that's probably why people make lots of commentary about heavy notes of mysticism in what they discover.

2023-11-04 11:02:36 +0000 UTCAnthony, I agree. There is certainly more to the story of LSD. Did AH really not know in 1938 what he had created? Did this creation reach a dead end or fall into the wrong hands necessitating it's 'accidental' rediscovery five years later? There was plenty of crazy stuff going on in 1938. I hope that Ohler will shed more insight. So sad that these stories can be lost forever. Yes looking forward to more content on this. TY Hamilton.

2023-11-03 13:54:32 +0000 UTCLooks really fascinating! I've always questioned the narrative surrounding the discovery of LSD. Some things just feel "off" for a lack of a better way to put it. From what David Nichols has said about the meticulousness of Swiss Chemists to the obscurity about why he (Hofmann) decided to reanalyze LSD-25 multiple years after shelving it. Things don't totally add up and I hope one day we will know the full story.
