I ate ALL the ravioli.

i did a poll and was so sure that this slop would be the winner that i already recorded it, but actually the bakewell tarts won. couldn't believe it. here's the ravioli, anyway - and i'm sorry for misjudging you all!

bakewell tarts in two weeks time, i suppose?

spicy vampire next week!!

love,
phas 💖

The commentary on this is what really sold me! Nice hands btw :) The joke about the Heinz's ravioli having 6 dads was priceless 😂 also the final cock and balls comment. Imma start watching the eating food series just for your humor!

Where I‘m from canned ravioli is for festivals. At least at Wacken Open Air everyone‘s got canned ravioli for a quick and easy meal at camp and it’s cheaper than the food you can get there. Grate a little parmigiano on if you wanna be fancy. And at least in Germany the canned ravioli are good.

ChildrenOfTheNight

I don't think, we have those here (I don't even want to know tbh😅.), but it sounds almost as abominable as the cheese ones. Good job finishing it all. Hope the next taste testing will be kinder to you.

Rewatching this just for the commentary 😂😂😂 thank god for you, phas

I have to order things since I'm in the US, so my experience with British food. I've only had the Mr Kipling Bakewell tarts and thought they were pretty meh. Eccles cakes and Welsh cakes are very tasty, and Hobnobs are awesome. Y'all know how to do flakes pastry, too.

auxarc99

Wow - I wasn’t expecting to learn about the canned ravioli family tree. You just keep on delivering Phas…..but at what cost?!

Everything’s better on toast 😆

Lady_Areleth

i'd say so, yeah! we do like to put things on toast. i don't actually do it that often personally, but culturally it is a thing. i think in the case of this ravioli it would help a LOT because it was very mushy. some crunchy toast would much improve the textural experience of eating it, i think!

Phasmid ASMR

on toast!! yes. a very popular way of eating canned baked beans here. kind of a childhood nostalgia thing, but plenty of people eat it regularly as an adult too. i have it a few times a year when i get the itch.

Phasmid ASMR

I think I am going to have to try this “on toast” solution to canned food. Is this a British go-to? And when you have the beans on the toast do you butter the toast first or put cheese on it? I had your beans with breakfast when I have visited the UK and they were a lovely edition but the open-face-sandwiching option didn’t present itself. I must be brave and take a leap of faith—though not sure where to get ahold of British baked beans here in the US…

KassiaOfCuriosities

I had some Chef Boyardee the other day after years of not having it and it was... surprisingly not terrible. I don't know if it's actually okay or if the secret ingredient is childhood nostalgia.

selyxis

Hm, beans on toast. Like, actually baked/canned beans... On toast?? (As a swede, I'm confused/confounded?) 😅 Ravioli though, childhood memories, or like camping trips-memories 👌

Saak

hahahahah god. it was just such a surprise.

The line "I do like my beef to be beef", absolutely made my day! How delightful. I love how excited you got about the Tesco's ravioli being good.

Kaylen

proper bri’ish!!!!!

Phasmid ASMR

Beans…on toast? Like, baked beans?

Sara Jayne

beef.

SNACKRIFICE!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. i hired the right writer. the righter. no that’s not funny. you would have made a better joke.

Phasmid ASMR

You know something I noticed? I went looking for canned mac and cheese after your first food video and found that it *sort* of exists where I am in the US, but they all have tomato and beef mixed in for some reason. Even when it's advertised as "mac and cheese", there's nothing with just *cheese* in it. I wonder why... And yeeeah, the bummer about a lot of canned pasta sometimes is that manufacturers put a ton of sugar in there so that the tomato sauce isn't too tart, but there are way better ways to offset that! 😭 But yes, we thank you for your snackrifice.

that's the plan!!

Phasmid ASMR

Well I guess you'll just have to do the tarts next lol

Malory Zajdel

Oh, canned ravioli. How nostalgic.

Kylie Rae Gonzalez

Please do the Bakewell challenge. Oh, and BTW, you have lovely hands; do you play an instrument?

Shellbelle

I don't know how it is in other countries, but at least in Germany, canned ravioli is THE food you bring to festivals or if you go camping. At this point, I think festival culture is keeping these things in the market, because I also don't know anyone who buys these, lol.

Is it weird that every time I hear ravioli or say ravioli that my mind goes to the "ravioli ravioli give me the formuoli" from spongebob

Emi1996.

Also phas... I believe in paying for the brand... there's definitely a difference, like cereals... frosties vs frosted flakes... huge difference, for me at least. Also I don't like tin ravioli.. only thr mac

MidnightSquid

The amount of the word ‘BEEF’, I never want to hear it again. I’m screaming

TaffyCreature

I haven't had ravioli in just a long time
