October 26 Update

Whew, I am tired. I completely exhausted myself doing promo posts on Friday and I have been trying to pull back from internet stuff. It is too early to do a postmortem on the TLS launch, but it's nice to see fans coming out to support:

The survey is closed and I intend to gather some results from it, but that will have to come later. Please just look forward to the demographics in time. ^-^

If I wasn't already busy enough, my weekend has been consumed by Audible pushing up the internal timeline for that release. The launch date is still November 4, so I'll say more about that next week.

Fortunately, this post won't be too short because I can highlight a TLS-based project by community member and moderator Grim8P, who wrote this:

Arkham Horror LCG is a living card game of Lovecraftian mystery, monsters, and madness.  You can buy and play it with physical cards or there is a free mod available on Tabletop Simulator.  Arkham Horror features an immense number of investigators to play as, as well as a large card pool and ways to build characters.  But while playing the game, two things stick out to me: Excellent creative writing, and your decisions matter.

I think these things align well with The Last Sovereign, which caused me to create a custom scenario for Arkham Horror based on The Last Sovereign.  The scenario covers the coup attempt at the end of chapter 1.  It is available for free directly inside the Tabletop Simulator mod for Arkham Horror, under the title Clueless Cultist Coup.

I think a lot of people who like TLS would enjoy Arkham Horror.  I'd be happy to get people up and running and to get them into the scenario to give it a shot.  I hope people enjoy it.

Wow, 1.0 is here, congratulations ! EDIT : Sigh, I *always* fall to the Enter key directly sending the message... Yeah, I've seen your great post-mortem on r/RPGmaker ! Came here upon stumbling on a story : "What in the God's name have I been making for 12 f-ing years?" https://www.reddit.com/r/gamedev/comments/1ohihpl/what_in_the_gods_name_have_i_been_making_for_12/ (Some people had been lacking in manners "must be bad", the detailed answer puts them to shame.) Hmm, what *other* game can I think of that had a really long development and would have a "must be bad" and "can never make a living off this" stigma for ignorant strangers ? (/s) Anyway, thought that you might be interested in participating in the conversation there too, but, as I was suspecting, you're exhausted. Well, at least maybe you'll have some comfort reading the tribulations of fellow long-term indie developers. (Once you want to look at a screen again.) Take care, and congratulations again !
