August 3 Update

The crisis in adult games isn't over, but it was much less active last week, eating up less of my time. Thus I am happy to report that I was able to spend far greater amounts of time on creative work, which, as I have always said, is one of the things that makes me happiest. ^-^

With the big TLS update out publicly and stable, my work is splitting in several directions. I will definitely have a big post about all the changes that will be made to TLS on the way to version 1.0.0, that won't come just yet, honestly in part because the long dev cycle burned me out a bit. Better to catch up on things I neglected and recharge with some new inspiration.

At some point I want to do a full post about how I choose to invest my time, as I make various decisions with an eye on the long term of my career, and I actually have it partially written. But one of the little ironies of status updates is that spending a lot of time writing extensive update posts looks productive but often means less actual progress. As I am having a really good week, I'll leave the longer post for a later time.

See you all next week!

Update posts can be fun for me too, I just have to be careful not to distract myself writing them! Thanks for your support. ^-^

Glad to see that you are still going strong! While i bet you have plenty of ways with dealing with burn out, just remember that some time invested into rest, recovery and generally having fun, will help with the progress of all your projects! Plus not feeling bad is usually a solid perk as well lol. As for status reports, calling them ironic is pretty funny, but i always like the sense of grounding they provide. A reminder of the stuff that was achieved, what's more to come, and what to focus on. Of course, my experience come form work/school, and not from a 10+ year long project. And i will admit that i find enjoyment in your longer post, especially the bigger ones! Anyways, hope this next week is better than the last, and you get proper rest!
