I know the writers strike was to blame so i don't blame them, but you're right, this soo doesn't feel like a final. I do enjoy that we follow up a patient from earlier in the season.

2025-09-05 10:38:07 +0000 UTCYeah the old men having a fight club was not on my bingo card and I've seen the show before. Completely forgot about that. I find it so hard to care about Sam and Naomi. I just don't feel their chemistry at all. I also don't feel any chemistry between her and Dell for the record. That's even worse. I feel like the stuff with this manual insemination of the egg wouldn't be done by doctors? Maybe i'm wrong but it really doesn't feel like doctors would be standing over a petri dish doing that. So my understanding is originally they ordered 9 episodes of Private Practice, which got written, then because the show did well, they ordered another 13 episodes for season 1 which would have pushed it up to 22 episodes, but the writers strike stopped that from happening. I'm not sure if this was intented to be the finale or if they changed it knowing that they would have another 13 episodes to do and then that didn't happen, but it didn't feel like a finale
