As others said, this was kinda a finale, not sure if theirs be season 2, but then they ordered full 22 eps. They did film in Chicago, and knowing filming schedule, you’ll notice in 14+ it seems the weather gets colder, as they had to film more episodes, even though it was nice weather just a few days earlier in time frame of show and escape. I do know how they make you care for the side characters. C-note seemed like nothing special before they introduced his family, and now makes him more relatable and rooting for him.

I am enjoying the reactions though Up to this point Michael has been able to come up with a work around for things that he couldn't plan ahead for or problems he didn't anticipate. I do like that this was something he both didn't plan for nor could he come up with a work around I think adding C-Note to the escape group was a good choice. He adds some conflict to the group while not being an outright adversary & I think having him lie to his family about being in prison was an interesting choice.
