One Piece: Mom's Ideas.

This are the ideas my mom has for the background of our protagonist. Please keep in mind my mom's knowledge of the show is rather limited, so to avoid spoiling her.

I edited a few of her ideas so that they fit the plot, but the general thought behind them remains the same.

Enslaved

• Premise: The MC is reborn as a child in a small island, being sold into slavery and raised alongside others like Kuma, Ivankov, and Ginny. His first years are defined by chains, anger, and powerlessness, but he doesn’t break. He might be powerless now, but that won't be the case forever.

• Protagonist Personality: The MC will be a smooth-talking, street-smart survivor with a silver tongue and a permanent smirk, using wit and sarcasm as both armor and weapon. He’s clever, always thinking one step ahead, reading people like a book and knowing when to push, when to bluff, and when to shut up. Beneath the jokes and mockery lies a guarded heart; he cares more than he lets on, though he'd rather die than admit it out loud. His the type of guy that rolls with the punches, keeps his head down when he must, but always is looking for a way out.

• Power: Haki, and the Devil Fruit idea my mom had, about a cat zoan based that gives the user the power to affect probability, good and bad luck.

The Fist of Brotherly Love!

• Premise: Reincarnated into the One Piece world as the younger brother of Monkey D. Garp, the MC grows up with Garp by his side. He’s loud, bold, full of heart, and carries himself with the energy of a thousand men. He loves people, laughs loudly, fights even louder, and charges into battle with the belief that strength is meant to protect, and by God, he will be their shield!

• Protagonist Personality: He's loud, boisterous, and unshakably optimistic, with a deep love for people and an even deeper hatred for injustice. He wears his heart on his sleeve, laughs from the gut, and believes that strength means nothing unless it's used to shield the weak. His honor is absolute, his word unbreakable, and when he makes a promise, nothing will stop him from keeping it. He charges into danger without hesitation, not out of arrogance or belief he's unstoppable, but because he refuses to stand by when others are suffering.

• Power: These hands, and Haki.

The Fallen God

• Premise: The MC is born into a Celestial Dragon family, but not into any family, but as the child of one of the Five Elders, Jaygarcia Saturn. Surrounded by cruelty, arrogance, and unquestioned authority, he is expected to follow not just his father's legacy, but to play his role in maintaining the Celestial Dragons' iron grip on the world.

  He can’t fight the system back yet. Not in a place where even thought is dangerous. But he will wait, and he will learn. And when the time is right, he'll break the chains starting with his own.

  He was born as a chained god.

  
  He’ll live as a ghost.

  
  And one day, the world will remember him as the Celestial Dragon who chose to burn heaven down.

• Protagonist Personality: He’s sharp-tongued, unshakably confident, and plays every conversation like a game he’s already won. Trapped among tyrants but shaped by a past life who taught him how to be a decent man, he hides his disgust behind charm and outmaneuvers those around him with precision, not brute force, preferring leverage over might. He doesn’t bluff; he calculates, he assesses, he delivers, and he never shows a card he doesn’t intend to play. Arrogant to those who don’t know better, magnetic to those who do, he’s the type of man who walks into a room like he owns it; and makes everyone believe he does.

• Power: Haki, Money, and possibly a DF.

Chains of Ivory

• Premise:

  Reborn, and sold into slavery.

  
  Branded and shackled as nothing more than another gift handpicked for the Holy Land, chosen for his unusual eyes and quiet demeanor. A birthday present for a Celestial Dragon girl for her birthday. Not a servant. Not a guard. A pet. Something to name, feed, dress, and play with. Something alive, but easily replaceable.

  He plays alone.

  
  Because as far as the lottery of slaves goes, he won his.

  She doesn’t hit him. Doesn’t starve him. She even talks to him more than she should, to the point it almost feels like she forgetting the leash she holds in her hands. Other times, she tightens it without thinking, perhaps remembering her place.

  It doesn't matter, though... because one day, he will be free.

  But as he waits for his chance to break free.

  She's beginning to grow up.

  And in a place where nothing real is allowed to bloom, something quietly, stubbornly, begins to.

• Protagonist Personality: He’s clever, smooth, carefree, adventurous and most importantly knows how to survive, even with a collar around his neck. He plays the part they expect from him: quiet, obedient, forgettable. But beneath that, he’s observant, sharp-witted, and painfully aware he needs to escape before he outgrows his role, after all, you can't be adorable forever.

• Power: Haki.
