Today's weekly report probably covers the entire first half of 2024, so we have a lot to say, Considering that I still want to tell the story about how I went to worship my ancestors at the beginning of the month, I suggest you wait until you have more free time before reading this weekly report.

Let me first tell you what my top priority is right now.

I don’t know how many people have noticed that I’ve been working hard to wrap up some series that haven’t been finished before, I ended the Stream sniping series directly and completed the entire Doll series at the same time.

As I mentioned before, all the video schedules got messed up after Occupational injuries, Because it consumes almost all my time, most of the works in the past six months lack planning. Unlike the early series of works, you can't see a complete storyline.

But as I noticed this problem happening, I began to gradually repair the effects of this busy and chaotic six months. Let me share with you my video type:

Basically there are two types of my videos. The first one can be said to be a test of a certain technology. for example:

Irur 2 is the first time to use Reshade in video, so you can see that the video quality after Irur 2 has been significantly improved.

Rat 1 is a test of a new coordinate system. The original action can only move from the X, Y, and Z axes, but since Rat 1 we can move these three axes at the same time, which brings smoother animation. , so the smoothness of action in all videos after Rat 1 has been significantly improved.

The next step should be the deformation effect test in Rat 5. I think this technology was first used in Rat 5 and was only completed in the recent Stream sniping 3, In the videos after Stream sniping 3, all the characters look very soft, because the reasonable and correct use of the deformation effect can make the characters look more vivid.

Solo 9 is a test of plot content. Basically, I haven’t added any dialog boxes for a year. During this time, I mastered new writing skills and tried to write better scripts. This technology is It was tested in Solo 9, and I'm happy with the results, and I think I'm now capable of editing and producing other series that require scripting.

Solo 10 is a use of projector technology. It uses high-material maps to simulate light and shadows shining on objects. So you can find that the light and shadow of the scene look better in all the videos after Solo 10.

The ones above are tests of certain technologies. They are the first type of videos, made to test certain technologies.

The second type is the use of technology. They usually have relatively complete technology and are unlikely to have breakthrough tests.

The most representative ones should be request 01 and Occupational injuries, Because they are all requests, it is basically an example of me throwing all existing technologies into them and applying them in practice.

After talking about the two video types, let’s talk about a more special type, "short videos".

Basically the first short video was "The end of the adventure"

The emergence of short videos has both good and bad aspects. Let me tell you why they are important and why they cannot be used too much.

Basically short videos are usually an idea, It has only one composition, a bit like the hentai images you can see on Pixiv, So this type of video usually only has one fixed shot and loop, Why is it important? "Because it’s quick to make"

Let me tell you why I don't make all the videos into a series. It's basically a matter of ability.

Take Ryza as an example, you come up with a composition like, "Oh Ryza's head is chopped off and she falls on the stone, and then there's the dick fucking her and his head is on the grass next to it." that's it

If you need to plan why Ryza appeared in the forest, how her head was cut off, and what happens after it is cut off and you fuck her body, This is a process that I think is quite difficult, but actually I feel that I just don’t have enough ability to complete reasonable script and animation production at the moment.

It’s not that I think the series is bad, or that I prefer short videos

But if I insist that every idea must be a complete series, then you will not see a lot of things, I don't think this is a good thing.

As for why we can’t all make short videos, I think everyone knows the answer.

Suppose it takes me seven days to make an episode of a series, but only three days to make a short video, Then I will be making short videos throughout the month, so you will see 10 short videos, but the progress of the series will be zero, because everyone’s time is fixed. I spend 10 minutes making a short video, It will be 10 minutes late until the next series of videos.

So my current approach is, if there is a simple idea, then we will make it quickly, This way everyone can still have something to watch, But I won’t spend too much time on these simple loop videos, For now, I think this production method is better.

I mentioned in my last post that I had a new idea and someone told me his concerns, I believe he is not the only one who has this worry, and I am very grateful that he is willing to tell me his true thoughts.

When I was working as a chef, if someone thought your food didn't taste good and he didn't like it, he would neither leave a negative review nor tell you that he thought the food sucked. He would just leave and never come back.

So I have a positive attitude toward people who are willing to criticize me negatively.

Well, it’s not that I like to be complained about, but actually after I received a complaint I went around to tell my friends: "someone complained in my comment section"

Because I think this is a rare and valuable thing, It’s not like I’m looking for other people to comfort me, in fact i feel proud for this

But now that I think about it, I feel that it may be that I didn’t handle these things well, which is why other people have such worries.

But what I can assure you is that there is actually a review report for each of my videos, After each video was completed, I recorded what the key points of the video were, what went wrong and what went right.

I believe that introspection and improvement are a progressive culture. Only by facing and being honest with yourself can we make progress.

In fact, I feel that a lot of things have changed from when I first started making videos.

If you look along the way, you will find that my approach is different in each period, actually I am trying to find a better way, I've tried a lot of things, some good ideas and some bad ones, But if you ask me why something is the way it is today, I will definitely have a way to give you the answer to why I am doing this, why does it look like this.

One thing I mentioned before is: "I don't know what people want to see because people don't complain about it, so I just keep making the videos I want to see.", Now that I think about it, it’s quite interesting that when I received a complaint, I found it very interesting and told others about it（´・ω・｀）

Oh...I've forgotten how I got to this point. Sometimes when writing a weekly report that's too long, I forget what I'm talking about.

Okay, now let's talk about what will happen before June.

My current plan is to wrap up the unfinished series of sequels, and started some series that I said I wanted to do before. After the Doll series ended, I went to my Necromancer friend, and he offered me another character, and now I really want to try it.

My current thinking is that even though the plans and video production in the past six months seem chaotic, I am actually slowly repairing the impact of Occupational injuries. I expect to produce Occupational injuries04 in July, and before I start production Lucky draw winning video, Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten you guys's videos yet(｀・ω・´)ｼｬｷｰﾝ

I think you don’t need to worry too much, just watch me fix these problems slowly. After a while, the old series should be completed, and then you can see that the new series is full of plans and The plot of the series, so I actually think that as long as time continues to pass, these effects will disappear.

I feel like all the important things have been said? At least I don't have anything else important on my mind right now, So let’s talk about something that has nothing to do with the video.

Where I live now is where many of our ancestors lived before, It may have been a hundred years ago. At that time, people would still build their graves only a few hundred meters away from your home, So at the end of last month, a bunch of people came to worship their ancestors near me.

I think the weirdest thing is that my uncle, aka is the owner of the house I live in now. He brought 13 whole chickens, 13 fish and 13 pieces of super fat pork. I feel like there is half a pig over there. Then he also brought a whole pot of soup. Let me tell you, I used to be a chef. That pot of soup can hold about 400 meals.

When we opened the restaurant in the past, we would give each meal a bowl of soup, and his pot of soup was probably enough for a day, that is, 400 people.

I think that's a bit too over, But this matter is not something I, a junior, can decide. so...I didn't express my opinion, Then we went to pay homage to my grandmother, and then I saw several boxes of fruits and cakes, I don't remember my grandmother eating so much（´・ω・｀）

I said to my cousin, "well, isn't your dad being a little too dramatic?", He told me never to mention this matter to him, they quarreled every time, So he has given up and just does what his father wants without making any comments.

I think my uncle is a person who is under a lot of pressure, But all that pressure is actually unnecessary, My grandfather and his family used to live here, and then decided to leave the village sixty years ago to work in the city and make some money.

I feel that my uncle tried very hard to show the other people who stayed in the village that they were right to work in the city, He often acts rich in front of people he knows, He's not arrogant, he just doesn't want others to look down on him, A house builder quoted him about $4,000 for a steel door, and he accepted it, Why the hell does a door cost $4,000, and it's made of steel instead of gold, and then he installed four of them in his house and there's no need for it? And he doesn’t want others to think he has no money, so he accepts no matter how much they offer, But actually I don’t really agree with this behavior. I mean... If they are your friends, why would they look down on you because you don't make a lot of money? even though you are a good person?

If they are not your friends and they hate you, then they will always have something to say no matter what you do, so why should you care because no matter what you do, it will be wrong in their eyes

I think this universal value of using money to judge a person's worth is very rude, But in fact, people of the generation above me seemed to do this, A person who has never spoken to me, a relative whom I don’t know at all, the second thing he said when he saw me was "how much money do you make?" I'm not sure if this is a generational difference or if it's something different between the countryside and the city. I thought this kind of thing was personal? I mean I don't think you'd ask this question to someone you just met, what's your motivation? You could ask how you're doing, or what you've been doing lately, who would directly ask someone else How much money do you make every month?
