They're absolutely beautifully animated and just solid movies and feel like love letters to the source materials. Nothing groundbreaking but they're really fun and enjoyable. It breaks my heart that after all the dog shit transformers movies a good one finally comes along and that's the one that flops. I never thought you'd talk about Twilight or Kraven the Hunter being "capeshit" but if you watched those there's maybe hope.
