November 2025 update

Hello! Apologies for how late this one was! Sickness + holidays + burnout. Deadly combination!

Some less impressive stuff out of the way. There is now an interact button, separate, defaulted to RB/Spacebar. This is because, while up is TYPICAL, you are often inputting up to either look, or up-sweep, in front of an NPC or door.

Hopefully this will fix that! Of course, if you want, you can always revert this change.

The idea to implement this came from Spelunky, where a similar issue is present.

The game is now also fully in 540x960, instead of 544x960. This one was initially my bad, since I thought it was extremely necessary to fit the entirety of all tiles in the room. This was stupid. Core thankfully was able to truncate the game by 4 pixels easily.

Hit sounds are being worked on again. They will likely be changed from this. There was a common, common complaint that they were unsatisfying.

I am pointing towards Smash Bros as an inspiration for great sound design, but as I can only direct for audio-related things (I am a visual artist), this process can only go so fast!

This one's for the eventual use of the SealBites channel to upload OST. Since a lot of the music is unfinished, this has not been a priority -- hoping that changes soon!

Ivy will likely join Taiki on there.

Miniboss. Yes, the game will have boss fights.

As I close, I'd love to share a game asset like usual, but there is little to show on that front -- though, there is this icon for the KKCR patreon minecraft server...
