Laugh Track and nemeSYSter Notes

All that's really left for Laugh Track is bug fixes and one or two voices, so I'll probably wait until December for another update there -- or just push through to release, if there's not much to fix. (I'll admit I haven't looked at the google doc a lot yet. Some of what's in there are intentional creative choices, but the bugs definitely need a-fixin'.)

nemeSYSter has gone through three soft reboots since we last spoke. It started as survival horror, then cyberpunk, then magipunk. It's still in the magipunk realm but I needed to step back and seriously consider the overall plot and direction before continuing to tinker. This is a weird and ambitious story, especially considering the optional multiplayer angle, and I want to be sure it's working for folks.

I still plan to release the first "chapter" of sorts, covering the basic plot setup and the first major fight -- kind of like level 01 of AS or the tutorial caper for Penny or the pilot episode of Laugh Track, a narrative way to ease you into the gameplay expectations. But it's not ready for today. Probably middle of November or start of December.

Thanks for your support, folks. It means the world to me. It's not just about money and costs -- the support helps there -- but knowing people are willing to back these weird games I'm making and participate in the process is important to me. Means I'm not just screaming into the void.
