NOTHX, Patreon.

Patreon's rolling out some kind of "autopilot" feature to offer people discounts and to nag them when they try to unsubscribe, and use AI to bundle features and yadda yadda yadda no. Nope. Not doing that. I turned them off.

This is a really basic kind of Patreon, folks. You help offset my development costs, and in return you get early access to builds. That's it. I'm not a content creator or an influencer trying to sell you on anything else and I'm not looking to take any more of your dollars than you're willing and able to part with. So we ain't gonna be using any of that crap.

Just so this update isn't all negative, here's what's coming up:

OCTOBER: The first true Beta build of Laugh Track with all story content included. All that's missing now is a bit of the voice acting and the pre-episode commercials. Oh, and oodles of testing which you'll be providing (if you have time and inclination).

NOVEMBER: A release candidate build for Laugh Track and possibly the prototype for nemeSYSter, our 2027 project. I've had to reboot my story concept once but I think version two is holding together pretty well -- I want to do a vertical slice in the form of the story intro and tutorial to make sure everything's clicking.

DECEMBER AND BEYOND: Until production fully ramps for nemeSYSter we may have some months with no alpha or prototype, but I'll try to get you some sneak peeks at the very least. And as always if you wanna pause membership or cancel because I can't deliver new game content each month I completely get it. We cool.

Yeah, I suspect a lot of folks are in that camp -- just wanna support, not playing betas. And that's fine! Heck, helping me playtest is unpaid labor so I'd never expect it of anyone. But I also like to be clear and up front about what I offer, and for those who want it, let them know what's a-comin'. Thank you!

Wow, I’m surprised to see even Patreon falling to enshification. Capitalism really is the worst sometimes. :/ Thanks for helping to avoid all that. The upcoming game ideas sound neat and I hope you continue to have fun making things, and get the feedback you’re looking for! Personally I like to wait until I can play a finished project so I’ll hold off until you’re done happy with the game. But I suspect most of us are here to support you in your art- It’s not about any specific “reward”, we just want to collectively throw a few bucks in the hat to make it easier for you to do cool stuff.
