Progress Update
Added 2025-04-26 14:11:04 +0000 UTCThings are going well! Final art is in for the Writer's Room, with the new look for Management-aligned characters. Side characters like The Teacher, The Champ, The Idol and The Officer will have similar aesthetics.
We've also got final art for Daniel, which I haven't implemented yet but is simply adorable. We love our good boy.
I'm restructuring the game, as discussed previously. Instead of having to play through a five episode season twice in order to "complete" the experience, ala Penny's time loops, it'll be one single playthrough that includes all eight episodes. Your ending will be decided by low ratings, high ratings... or the trickier balancing act of even ratings.
I'll admit writing isn't going as fast as I'd hoped -- I want to do one episode a month but I'm doing the Cat-focused Very Special Episode and it's taking some very careful plot detangling to make it happen. ...also my health sitch is complete ass and not improving, so I need to keep things at a reasonable pace to keep myself going. I'm making sure not to overdo it.
Next release, when it's ready, will include "Take Out the Trash," as well as all the updated art described above and all songs without Pond5 audio watermarks.
In the meanwhile I would LOVE to get your feedback on the story so far. I've got bug reports and typo reports and those are great but I need to make sure the story is compelling, characters are interesting, and things generally make SENSE. Yes, there's a lot of mystery going on but if you're ever confused because the given explanations aren't clicking, let me know. Thanks.
