Wow, it's amazing that you put so much work after not attending much as a kid and learning so much throughout PM and had a desire for competing and then transition into Smash 4 and then Ultimate. If I were ever to choose between two pills to drink with the ability to react or having great tech skill, it will be tech since I need to improve on that, badly.

I would say it took about two years to be become the best Falcon in the world for PM back when I could attend tournaments consistently, but I competed a little bit before then when I could, which wasn't enough as a kid. I practiced every day, often for hours, and especially grinded tech skill, I had easily the best tech skill with him in PM, and my punishes were scary too. Ultimate is different, but also worth grinding stuff for, but it's mostly MUs and positions now.
