Mid Aug 2024 F@FF Update

The good news: We are closer to a release of F@FF. That much hasn't changed. However, in the interests of transparency, I need to let you know where we stand.
The not-so-good news: Due to the rising tensions and turmoil in a certain South American country where our main F@FF artist resides, we've had to make the difficult decision to cut out some of the planned H-Scene CGs. These were mostly group scenes that would have taken a long period of time to draw, color, and animate. You'll still get a unique CG for each of the main four (Frenni, Fexa, Bonfie, Chiku), a CG for all of the main four together, and a Fexa x Frenni x MC scene.
Also not-so-good news: Our animator might be unable to continue their work moving forward. This may mean that some CGs will remain static even through the final version of the game (i.e. the one with full Translations)
A bit of good news so there's a nice sandwich: Because of our trimming of extra H-Scene CGs, we now are a mere 5 CGs and 1 Sprite away from the release of v0.4 (i.e. the English-only release). So long as conditions do not completely fall apart in that certain South American country, I anticipate that we MAY have a release around the same time as MalOvent v0.2. I am not committing to a hard date or making any promises.

I mean complete the game with everything you can and when it is set push to make the whole game with animation set in. if you need to push that out to Q2 next year i wouldnt mind playing that version of the game since you have MalOvent to work on after idk im just spit balling a more fluent way to keep things going without putting stress like you said lol its like making burger with everything except the cheese or that one thing you know?

2024-08-12 06:31:24 +0000 UTCPerhaps. The original goal was to release "The Final Version" with all the translations and the animations by Q4 2024. I'd like that to still happen, but I also recognize that people have been waiting a long time as it is. I can only push the team so hard before it becomes unhealthy/unfeasible crunch.

2024-08-12 06:23:14 +0000 UTCi liked it before with just the base scenes but if you can add animations and such to the final product and leave all the things going forward before that as a Legacy Version would that seem more fluent on release times?
