Quick rant on payment and monetisation across the many evil internet platforms I have chosen to anchor myself to.
First things first; it's been in the news a lot, feel free to google around and take a peek for yourself - Patreon has been having major payment issues. I just wanted to clarify that it's just (potentially) the standard multinational corporation shadiness, and nothing to be concerned about.
If you get an email from Patreon Ireland, or your bank, or any sort of other vaguely related stuff like a fraud alert, or payment failures, etc, don't panic. Patreon are, allegedly, handling payments out of Ireland. The same Ireland that is a tax haven for multinational corporation to help the rich stay rich. Sometimes this can trigger payment failures, that's about it.
If it hasn't worked, if the payment HAS failed, like a lot of people are reporting, don't worry about it, chuck me a like on Youtube instead. Live your life. Don't stress out about online monetisation like me. It's not worth the hassle.
Other than that, have a very pleasant 3:07am. Hope you're enjoying the new series! I should have a bit more free time now so once the office is done (lmao) I'll be a free creative little agent once again.
See you all very soon.
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly Roll1D2Games Currently in a box under a bridge
A very fast video update today, just had some reflections on the Blood Empire series and info on short term plans with regards to CK3 and the next Rimrim series.
Boy I sure do hope that the next video will be an office tour. haha.
Tales of your misdeeds are told from Basroto to Canolli,
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly Roll1D2Games Youtube's Most Concerning 2023
Finally, after many months of vague end-of-video updates, and me disappearing into the void, I'm here. Hello.
And the worst part is the third channel was removed by Youtube so all of the last updates explaining I wasn't here are gone - oops!
The video above is one hour, two months packed into around 55 minutes, and no, I don't expect you to watch all of it. The important stuff is at the start, the less import stuff like dog and me are at the end.
Below is a brief summary if you'd rather spend a minute skim reading rather than 55 minutes of listening to me ramble about things!
Main Channel:
- CK3 going on break soon, but will be back for sure for Game of Thrones and other htings - Rimworld continuing as usual, but maybe a little less build base and a little more build character/story - Generations II coming after Anne
Second Channel - Hoping to reboot when new office is complete - Probably going to play Starfall I guess - Definitely going to play Fallout 3 and Skyblivion when they're released Third (Professional) Channel: - Deleted by Youtube - Appeal rejected by Youtube - Channel was content was deemed as "sexually gratifying for audiences", one of the videos was me hitting steak with a hammer so idk. - Archived videos available always and forever here on a Google Drive folder E&S Channel + Tea Review: - Current room I'm using as an office will be dedicated Tea Review - E&S Podcast first episode was recorded and lost in the space of about an hour, but we're definitely going back to it, lots of fun - Puppy is taking up all of Elise's time, so very little free time for content currently, but schedule should free up over the next month or so Patreon: - Rewriting and changing thing soon - Tiers will be the same, just trying to fit in more rewards and whatnot - Need to change branding to new 100% owned by me Polar Bear icon
New Office: - Actually and unironically a work of art, very silly theme but I love the 90s. No spoilers. - Still needs a bit of work, and an electrician to wire up some more sockets, but is very usable! - Will do a tour/showcase video when it's complete, probably over the next couple of weeks Puppy: - Very cute - Very smart - Very bitey
Me: - Suffering from success, literally, I am seeing a therapist next week - New prescription didn't work, just made me violently ill - Will be at 110% strength very soon, just trying to find what is happening
I have just moved house. We didn’t use a moving company which was a mistake I won’t ever repeat, as a result I am tired and broken; on the first day I fell down a flight of concrete (BAYBEE) stairs and now I can barely walk.
Luckily you don’t need an unbroken ankle for GAMING.
So the plan is record some in bulk, then take a bus to a place where I can upload. Internet in the new place won’t be switched on until mid next week sadly, so I’m stuck with barely usable 3G. Lots of people said ‘just don’t upload’ but it turns out moving house is EXPANSIVE so I will continue to deliver quality* content so my debt to you, generous patron, is fulfilled.
As always - thank you for your patience - we’re in the last stretch of shitty living conditions. No more cold showers, no more leaking bedroom roof, no more police raids on the neighbours at 2am every night, no more mice, or tiny spare bedrooms filled to the brim with mold, just content.
Probably not. But they've giving me more hope so they can CRUSH ME DOWN once more.
Hi,
To cut a long (so very very long) story short, we are moving soon. We've been given a date today. A final date for this waking nightmare to finally be over. This date is very short notice, and far closer to today than we actually bloody expected, so suffice to say, over the next month or so while everything is ironed out, uploads will be as frequent as I can possibly make them.
Rimworld will be carrying on as usual, and I'll try and find time as and when I can for extra fun stuff here and there, but I think, at least for a little while, we're back to one video a day. Maybe big channel changing plans for May?
Thank you for your continued support and patience, the last year has been rough, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't take an enormous toll on my mental health, but all of this was weenie baby youtubing - soon the real content can begin.
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly Roll1D2Games Currently tired and jaded and cynical
Apologies upfront, this is just a fast update to say I am working on the new (very unique if I have to say so myself) Rimworld series, but over the past couple of days I've been exceptionally, unusually, extra tired. I woke up at 4am today to work on the new series with plenty of time, and by 10am I was falling asleep at my desk, so I'm just about to go back to sleep so I can at least wake up in a few hours and try and push out a CK3 episode.
I would try and see a doctor but this is the UK and etc, etc. And I don't think it's work related because I've barely been able to work.
I have the usual monthly round-up video along with extra plans for a post that will come out after the new series is uploaded, but this is my top priority over the next day or so.
Also I want you to vote on a side project to take priority (this will be in a future post) - I have quite a lot going on that I just come back to every now and then, but I thought a Patreon reward of actually voting for certain side projects (mods, second channel, elise and sam, etc) might be a good extra thing I can actually do, and help gauge interest!
Apologies again,
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly Roll1D2Games Currently very tired
Hey everybody, Elise here! For those who don't know I'm the person who manages the Patreon and passes your messages on to Sam.
This update will primarily cover the new Patron tiers, however, I wanted to give people a heads-up that there have been some issues with the Patron-only discord roles. If you have lost access to the discord please DM us here and we will manually give you access. We currently don't know if it's a Patreon issue or a bot issue but it should *hopefully* be fixed soon.
Now, onto the tier updates! As Sam said late last year, the shoutout list is way too long and has been very difficult to keep up with almost 1300 names in total. So we have made the decision to adjust the lower tiers a bit. The new tiers are as follows:
- £2.50: Patreon-only Discord
- £5: Shout-out
- and the £7+ tiers have not changed
These changes will formally come into effect for current patrons in March. As always, DM if you'd like to be opted out of shout-outs or change your patreon name manually here: https://www.patreon.com/settings/basics.
We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused by the price change but we felt this would be the best way to make sure that Sam can feasibly get all of the shoutouts done each month.
Thanks for reading and have a great day! Elise :)
TL;DR - Shoutouts are from the £5 tier now, £2.50 tier will still give patron-only discord and patreon post access. These changes will be in effect from March onwards for current patrons. If you cannot access the patron-only discord please DM us here.
Attached is this months update for the channel, plans, and everything happening. I'll write up the important notes here then you can watch the video if you want me saying the same thing but in a rambling, incoherant, and unscripted form.
- Second channel content getting a bit more polish and effort, and being moved to the main channel instead.
- Daily Rimworld continuing forever and will remain the main focus for the foreseeable future.
- Will focus on making sure that there are no two consecutive videos from the same series. Rimworld, then other series, even if it takes the usual rimworld slot. Still daily Rimworld, but other content might delay it for freshness.
- This decision came from lots of feedback both saying that second channel content is good enough for main channel AND people struggle to keep up with the main channel content.
- All gaming on the main channel, keeps it more organised, saves people being subscribed all over the place.
- Being used for whatever I feel like, rather than more games.
- Only subscribe if you like me, probably going to just make videos on whatever I'm interested in at that very moment.
- Might rant about card games, or give a fun presentation on some stupid thing I'm interested in. Or maybe more language videos, those got a staggering amount of views and let me flex my enormous brain.
- Moving away from the current tea review format, which I'm not happy with, would never watch, and ended up just being complaints/rants.
- Instead, a weekly, sit-down and chat with actual microphones and topics/comments/silly ideas instead.
- Inbetween will be gaming content with the two of us, like we have been doing with the Pokemon Infinite Fusion series that people seem to love, and gets a lot of interaction and views.

Other stuff I'm planning/doing:
- Website; I've been saying this for ages, but I want a website with some written guides for modding, mods, install help, whatever, but somewhere other than Discord.
- Website also needs to have some brief synopsis of series and timeline because all the interconnected stuff is fun for long-term fans, but I've had lots of feedback that it's overwhelming for new people. Probably going to avoid having it too heavy in the future (already working on a plan to help reduce it somewhat).
- Website will also have a big old fan art wall with links to the artists social media pages/whatever they'd like so I can try and give back to them a little bit more.
- Moving house. One day. If every fucking property owner in this country wasn't a predatory, thieving, greedy piece of shit that keeps trying to pull fast ones on people just looking to live their lives. We live in a society.
- Culturing myself. I saw a list of '100 top films you should watch before you die' and I've decided why not, I'm very good at multitasking, and it would be easy to fit in during rending/upload/thumbnail making.
- Health improvements. Mindfullness, lots of vegetables. All that boring stuff.
- Renewing my vow to not take any sponsorships because I hate these unceasing, all-consuming companies and I won't work with any of them except the ones I trust, and even then only if I'm interested in what they're peddling, which at this point is like two companies.
- And no, Youtube, I don't give a shit how many times you email, I'm not doing fucking shorts. Good lord.

Once the new series is off the ground and out I'll be responding to all of your messages, revamping the Patreon, and fixing a few things that have been on my to-do list forever at this stage. Hopefully the new modpack/video will be done by the end of today, but at the very latest things will be done tomorrow!
Thank you for your patience as always, 2023 will be our collective year. Or the sun will expand and swallow the earth whole.
Your good pal,
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer The Youtuber Formerly Known as Roll1D2Games
Above is a relatively fast (by my standards) update video about what is going on with me. Shockingly, very little, despite me paying people to make things happen.
Everything is zen, and calm, and we're all fine. Cosmic harmony is assured. Good things come to good people.
Firstly: I've kept up with reading your messages and making shoutout/names list changes and all of that type of thing, BUT I haven't had much chance to reply/keep conversations going, so if you have sent a message and you wanted a reply (no matter how minor or casual it was) send me a follow up and I'll get back to you over the next couple of days!
Above is an update video attached explaining house, channel, and other woes, listen to that if you'd like, but I'll do a more prose and parsable write up here.
___
Housing update:
Massive apologies for my absence over the past weeks, going into months. We still have no meaningful update with regards to the housing situation.
The concern about the homelessness in the previous big video I made was well founded, but through some very questionable arrangements, well-placed words, and feining incompetence, all of which I will go into at a later date, we still have access to our previously contracted property to live in at an increased cost and other risks, but that's a conversation for the future.
However, we found out a few days ago that the house we are currently technically renting has been sold, and we still have absolutely no update with regards to buying/renting another place. We spent a good few hours very rapidly packing the last of our stuff into boxes yesterday - I have nothing left but clothes and my PC.
We have plans in motion, but the wheels are stuck spinning due to a whole heap of unfortunate events like bank holidays, the queen dying and the country suddenly shutting down, multiple postal strikes, summer holidays, general bureaucracy and other people being incompetent, etc and all of that apparently means estate agents take weeks off work. They’re people too, I fully understand taking time off, but we didn’t get any communication despite numerous emails and phone calls for nearly a solid month.
Suffice to say, no contracts have been signed, no money has changed hands, no window for a move in date, and not all paperwork has been finalised, so even with my clever machiavellian contract dodging, we could still end up without anywhere to live for a good few weeks. Haha, I’m fine, it’s fine.
I would like to stress, very much, that I massively appreciated all the extra patreon/ko-fi supporters and tips that came through in response to the previous update I posted, HOWEVER, this isn’t an issue that can be fixed by throwing cash at it, unless you want to bribe a mortgage provider out there to convince them I’m a cool, trustworthy guy, and they should buy me a house. Though the support is very much appreciated, please only support if you believe the channel content is worth it, irrespective of my current situation. I’m sure there are many other content creators with much more on their plate than myself, producing far better content, but chose to compartmentalise that part of their life away from their audience.
___
With regards to Patreon:
I’m going to shift a fair degree of my focus from side projects and other hobbies into Patreon, to make up for the less time I have due to the housing stuff. When this all began I knew I’d have to make compromises in my schedule to fit it all in, and readjust from night time recording to daytime recording, hence some scheduling conflicts.
I sacrificed a lot of time both for Patreon, and the Discord Patreon channels (along with the Discord as a whole), because I couldn’t fit in every aspect of the job along with the now heaps of paperwork, meetings, and phone calls. Not to mention the people viewing the house we’re renting and other things occurring simultaneously.
Starting alongside the next series, I’m going to focus just on main channel content, and Patreon, that’s it. Second channel content takes 30 minutes of my day, so that’s pretty much on autopilot, but the Elise and Sam channel is effectively cancelled seeing as our camera is packed. The Discord I’m leaving in the hands of the old moderators, and the new moderation staff I’m bringing in to help keep order and fill the gap in my absence. ___
As for general channel content and quality:
I strongly believe that channel content has been its weakest for sometime, mainly because of the amount of other things that have been on my plate over the past couple of months. Views have been more or less the same but I get a feeling of general discontent from the comments and discord - maybe it's just negativity bias, but it would make sense that the content is worse given everything else. My brain is at max capacity juggling all of the other things, but hopefully it won’t last much longer and I can get back to focusing on just the channels. If it’s still bad after that I’m going to do something drastic, like tiktok reaction shorts. Then we’ll see who does bad content. I’ll teach you all a lesson. You won’t be complaining about Chainsaw Hands when I’m exhaling out my nose at a 30 second short of a dog wearing a silly hat.
I have big plans, I always have big plans, but I have no way to execute them currently. I have some fantastic video ideas that I think are hilarious but when I explain them to other people they look at me like I’m a madman. Even Elise didn’t understand one video outline I showed her. And I’m choosing to take that as a sign of its genius.
___
Short-term future content:
With the main channel being the sole focus until everything is back to a semblance of normal, next month is October and that means only one thing - spooky month. It has been a year since Anne and the vampires were around, and those are quite big shoes to fill for a series. I have a few ideas that I’m going to test out, but I’m not going to rush out a half-baked modpack.
I’ve recently announced on the Discord that I want to put together a separate, invite-only, discord server for people to criticise, fix, and contribute to modpacks, but also to help coordinate mod projects, and hopefully commission some ideas of my own in the near future. I’ll be helping out where I can with whatever tools I can offer to them, but as a way to coordinate projects, network with modders, and hopefully get some good content out there one way or another, it could be a nice quality boost!
___
As always, thanks for bearing with me. I’d love to say there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and we’ve been assured in hushed tones that there is something lined up for us, but I’m so cynical at this stage that unless I’ve been living somewhere else for a good few years, I won’t believe it’s true.
Tales of your misdeeds are told from Grignr’s Farm to General Painsaw Hands,
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly Roll1D2 Games Currently Fine. It’s all fine. We’re fine.
I have a very fast life update here for you, an explanation to why things are big fucked right now. Hopefully things will be a bit less big fucked very soon, but I'm not optimistic.
Apologies upfront, there will be radio silence for a while, I'll occasionally stop in in the Discord to update there because I can do that from my mobile. If you haven't joined because you hate people, you can link your Discord and silently sneak in, and just keep an eye on the announcements channel, otherwise you won't hear much for a little while.
To cut a long story short, our landlord has been threatening to sell the house for sometime, and a lot of my time in the last month or so has been spent looking for a place to live.
Today I got a phone call giving us our notice completely contrary to what the landlord had told me before (that he's not yet selling, etc) so we now have just slightly over a month to pack all of our things and find a new place to live.
However, because I live in an area of the country where there are no new house and rentals that are immediately obtainable, chances are I will be in a hotel for a while. This will obviously impact the video schedule massively, I might have to stream on twitch and edit the highlights as best as I can or something to that effect. I'll have to work off of a laptop with a fairly simple setup, so quality will suffer as well.
Apologies for the inconvenience, and I completely understand putting your pledges on hold for the next little while until content resumes as ultimately you're not getting what you're paying for.

Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly Roll1D2 Games Currently, and unironically, homeless
Good afternoon always patient and noble and so nice Patrons,
I just wanted to give a brief update on my real life struggles, and what I hope to be a really really great Rimworldd modpack coming out tomorrow.
Contents:
1 - What's going on with me 2 - What's going on with Rimworld 2a - New Modpack Conceit 2b - The Legendary Sarg Bjornson 2c - My Spreadsheet of Evil Mods 3 - Other channel things 4 - A thank you
_______
1 - First things first, ME!
Or, more specifically, some vague non-descriptive and thoroughly unhelpful information about me, and what's going on.
So for the last month or so now, I've been dealing with a lot of solicitors, paperwork, big expensive legal fees, and other such things that will make my life a lot easier going forwards.
I can't go into detail as it's an ongoing legal case, and to keep things vague, it started positive, became very suddenly negative, then became positive but very risky again over the last week. You'll have to use your imagination, and it's not a straight forward single-thing scenario, and became pretty quickly multifaceted, but there will certainly be a very long drawn out tea review over on the Elise and Sam channel very soon!
So tragically between the meetings over the phone, across town, in the city, etc my time has been absolutely decimated, BUT that's not the reason why the next modpack is taking slightly longer than usual!
_______
2- Now I made an announcement recently that Generations II would be postponed indefinitely until all of the above stuff is sorted - I want to be able to dedicate all my time and effort to not only delivering a unique modpack, but also a well edited, highly polished series. More so than usual.
The new series isn't Generations II, but honestly, at this stage, I think it might be better.
Next series I'm calling Pharaoh Dynasties, very heavily Ancient Egypt inspired, with some pretty fun twists.
2a - The founding Pharaoh is a roboticist from a glitterworld planet who was exiled, so wants to use his smooth words and robot guards to convince some more primitive cultures that he is magical and should be worshipped and get a cool pyramid, afterall any technology sufficiently advanced is indistinguisable from magic.
If the people realise he's not actually magical and just using technology they might rebel, or not respect him as much, so it needs to be the most low-tech high-tech colony possible. Are you following me so far? If not, think highly advanced robots using pickaxes in a quarry, instead of deep drills, or highly advanced robots running on hamster wheels to power the secret pharaoh labs of the pyramid, instead of big reactors.
There were many suggestions on Discord for other Ancient Egyptian themes to try and carry through the series. Building a great library of Alexandria and filling it with books from VE Books. Getting all of our natural resources from trading and the Empire mod, or the grand river itself. Using a cut down Children, School, and Learning along with Sarg's new Smart Ageing mod to create dynasties just like the Pharaoh's used to (except with less inbreeding).
And with some clever application of Yayo's Nature mod, by limiting it to Extreme Desert, Desert, and Oasis, on a 20 day cycle, we can experience the closest thing possible to the Nile flooding yearly, as it did in Ancient Egypt, and all the extra farmland and bounty that it'll bring with it!
It's not Generations II, but it's bloody close.
Then I've crammed the modpack with as many carefully selected theming mods and era-specific items and furniture as possible. Medieval overhaul, Vali's Charged Arsenal, VE: Desert Animals, Giddy-Up, VFE: Classical, Alpha Memes, and much more.
2b - And, on the subject of Alpha Memes, the incredible Sarg Bjornson of Vanilla Expanded, Alpha Memes, Alpha Animals, Genetic Rim, the Joris Experience & many of your favourite Rimworld mods, graciously and incredibly volunteered his time to add in a whole bunch more Kemetic themed weapons, items, and apparel to the Alpha Memes Kemetic style.
Without Sarg and his Alpha Memes mod, this series wouldn't only be a shallow, empty desert, it would be entirely impossible. So if you'd like to support someone with actual talent, one of the many modders who lay the foundations for my series to stand on, I'd highly recommend taking a look at the link above for Sarg's Patreon!
2c - I've been trying to be a bit more of the computer scientist my university lecturers sadly failed to create, and I've been focusing more on optimisation and remove of bad mods, unoptimised code, and unnecessary features. I've put together a pretty sizable spreadsheet with problem mods, reasons, and solutions (massive thanks to Scorpio here on Patreon as well who contributed greatly!) to not only help create better, more stable modpacks, but also try and help some of you as well.
In addition, I'm going to start packing up the mod config files as a full on mod for each series, so that if you want to play along its as easy as important the modlist into RimPy, then hitting play. No more copying files over manually, or download big zips of configs. Everything be preconfigured and ready to go at the touch of a "subscribe to all" button - presuming Steam is working.
I've not been this excited for a modpack in a long while - the catgirls were a weird departure from what I've been doing recently, but this modpack has the potential to be one of the most tightly themed and carefully designed, and fantastically stable, packs we've had in ages.
_______
3 - As for the other series on the channel, the response to Terraria has been beyond what I expected. I figured maybe 10k views on a good day, but it's far beyond what I expected for a second series on a channel that has had exclusively Rimworld for over a year now, and I feel far less afraid of jumping into other games and series after Terraria has ended. A return to CK3 is absolutely on the card, and I have a few Rimworld-esc clones to take a look at as well.
Granted, I couldn't have picked a worse time to try and upend my real life, along with two edited series on the main channel, an extra series on the second channel, and a return to the Elise and Sam channel. Tragically scientists in their fancy coats haven't invented that 30-hour work day yet.
On the subject of CK2, unfortunately the mods I selected for the Game of Thrones playthrough were a bit poo-poo - the majority were buggy and the rest were out of date, so I'm pausing it for now and will be returning to it with a slightly different scenario!
_______
4 - And of course, as always, your support is tremendously appreciated. Not only would I not be here without it, but it gives me a unique position as a Youtube to take a bit of a gamble on the content and always bounce back from it, which is a privilege I plan on using much more frequently when all this real life garbage is out of the way.
I hope you've been enjoying seeing your names in game far more frequently with the incredible Patron faction mod, and hopefully this series will allow me to give you more of the colonist that we've been sorely missing from the last few series!
Tales of your misdeeds are told from Meowskar to Magic Marge,
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly Roll1D2 Games Currently melting in a 40C room, I mean my god, how long can summer last for.
I want to occasionally take the downtime I have in videos, be it building a massive Rimworld construction, or mindlessly fishing in Terraria, and use it as an excuse to have a lil' extra chat about whatever the topic of the day is.
So I received a lot of messages (replying to you all later because I'm actually back on schedule for the first time in like two weeks) concerned about me making too many videos or burning out etc, so I wanted to talk about why I started Terraria a little bit more.
If you have ideas for future mid-video breakaway videos then let me know, and I'll have a quick chat mid-rimworld or whatever else.
(Very fast preamble to say I have a few messages to respond to still so don't panic if you've sent me something recently I haven't responded to, I've been super super busy with real life legal issues and it's absolutely destroying all my time)
Going to start moving a bit faster with Generations II now, the Empire Experience is coming to an end soon and I want to begin putting the final pieces on Generations II.
The series probably won't begin for another small while yet, maybe a week, just so I can publish the penultimate version of the modpack for your feedback and adjustment, and so we can make sure everything is working smoothly for everyone. ___
This time around I'm taking any suggestions for theextra eras and spacer to archotech levels.
So as a reminder, we'll be breaking Generations II off into a couple of extra eras to cover a large swath of history not covered by the game, that being Classical and Steam/Early Industrial. It always seemed a bit weird to me that you go from plate armour to electricity in the snap of your fingers.
The reason I'm taking this all as one big submission rather than era to era is that I'm far more confident with industrial to archotech level tech, as that is the most common playthrough era, and should be fairly simple compared to eras I don't usually play, like medieval.
That and I want to get the show on the road as soon as possible!
There will be another short weird series inbetween now and Generations II, after Empire Experience wraps up, something that'll hopefully be quite cathartic after all the limitations on series we've had recently.
As always, thank you all for your support - new series and channel change info coming very soon!
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly: Roll1D2 Games Currently: Extremely Stressed but still cool
(As a quick note, apologies that this series is taking so long to get started - I'm currently juggling some irl legal issues (outgoing, not against me) coupled with this Youtube are being and as a result some content might be missing on the main channel as it is STRESS TIME but I'll be cancelling second channel content where necessary to keep going with rimrim)
___
Today we're moving onto Medieval additions for the Generations II modpack. Again, the modpack is already basically finished, just looking for a few hidden gems and extras I may have missed along the way and wanted to avoid the same trap with every other modpack where I add mods mid-series and break everything!
For the Medieval era I'm looking for mods that fit a strictly medieval theme. Low tech medieval, high tech medieval, all are good, just no steam or fantasy-heavy mods.
Just remember my patented 4 points to a good modpack;
- Does it look like Rimworld?
- Does it fit an era?
- Does it complement other mods?
- Is it balanced for a base game experience?
Also as an important note, last time I made one of these posts I received over 200 messages in response to it, and I am just one tragically mortal person. My hands can only type so fast. If you do have suggestions please throw them in the comments below so that I can find them easier and not get too delayed on my inbox replies!
_____
Other than that I will be moving ahead with Generations II very fast now, and expect it to be the next series on the main channel after the Empire Experience.
In other channel news, expect a return to Crusader Kings on the second channel soon, I had a weird idea for that, and potentially some secondary edited main channel content. More on that when it is available!
Update to the video above: The second render test that I began mid video was partially successful, with the video passing checks within 20 minutes, but the video only worked in 1080p for some people, and not others. Classic.
___
Dear friends and the other 1160 of you who I don't care about unless you find a way to get rid of the one person I actually like, then I will whoever does that until it is a battle royale of bankruptcy and oh how I'll laugh,
___
Today I wanted to address an ongoing problem in my life - Youtube checking. As you may have noticed with more and more frequency, videos have been delayed, late, or sometimes absent entirely while I remake them, and I wanted to prove my innocence.
For a long time now Youtube checking has been hell, and for the last month in particular, it has made daily content and uploads borderline impossible.
___
So to clarify why this has become a huge pain, Youtube have added many layers of complexity to their video checking process as a way, I presume, to help creators with monetisation and copyright transparency, to questionable success.
Now whenever I upload a video, the first step is for me to fill out a short questionairre declaring levels of swearing, sexual content, violent content, drug and alcohol references, law enforcement depictions, identity discussion, politics, and much more.
When that's complete, I have to let the video finish uploading, at which point it'll begin processing, and various quality levels will be added. Only after that will checking begin, which is where an automated system will go through the video to make sure the questionnaire I submitted is accurate to a certain degree, and either approve it or demonetise it.
If a video is demonetised, I have to request a manual check from a human at Youtube who will go to whatever caused the video to be demonetised (we are NOT told which section of the video was the problem) and then if it remains demonetised we are told why. I always upload videos even if they are demonetised thanks to the Patreon.
After that, it then has to pass a copyright check as well to ensure that there isn't 5 seconds of a music piece from 70 years ago. If it fails to pass this either the video will be copyright claimed and monetised, with the copyright owner gaining all of the money, or copyright claimed and blocked, so the video can't be viewed but there are no consequences, or copyright striked, which is a much more length battle with permanent consequences include channel deletion.
___
I've been waking up earlier and working longer each night just to try and get the video checking before I go to sleep, but in doing so I've been sacrificing the editing quality and my own sleep, so the content has suffered as a whole, in my opinion.
So I decided enough is enough, obviously something has changed on the platform somewhere that either makes daily content borderline impossible, or the current Youtube and Adobe advice about video export settings is outdated and no longer applies. Though it works eventually, at the rate things are going I could be down to a video every other day, and that's not good enough.
____
First thing I'm testing is my own render settings for content, and ignoring Youtube's own advice on upload settings. I've created three testing presets for now, and I'm timing render, upload, processing, and checking times, then comparing the data. I'm currently midway through the third test, with mixed results so far and each test having its own problems.
My regular rendering preset gives the best audio and visual fidelity at the cost of it taking bloody ages to process. The first test checked exceptionally fast, but 1080p didn't work for everyone (this is the most recently published video) and quality was diminished. Next I'm testing a higher quality export in a different encoding preset to see if I can get the best of both worlds of quick checking but good quality.
____
Now let's assume all the technical stuff fails, because there is a limited amount to what I can do, I am looking for suggestions and feedback on how to make sure the potentially 8 hours of checking completes before the video goes live.
I like to keep in touch with the community and the comments section, so I don't like recording an episode before the previous episode has gone live, so pushing the videos out later/recording earlier won't exactly help unless I delay reading comments by a day or so, but it is a possibility.
Secondly, I could record two videos back to back, and address feedback from both at the beginning of the next video session. I'd only ever be one episode behind on comments at maximum, like above, but it would give me more flexibility with editing.
The only problem I can see with that is some days it can take 5 - 6 hours just to get a lot of footage to make an episode out of, particularly in slower paced, less challenging series, and the idea of having to record for 12 hours solid doesn't seem too fun. However, this would give me the ability to take a day off if I needed to, because I would always have a one video buffer ready to go.
Now both are possible solutions, but before I change my schedule to test it I thought I'd ask here too, see if anyone has any ideas. Obviously I'll find a solution regardless, but I assume you have vested interest if you're here, so why not ask!
___
In other exciting and less harrowing news, I have been in contact with a friend, who is remaining anonymous for now, who has some editing experience and the tools to do so, and might be on the cards to edit a secondary main channel series for me.
This way we can return to things like Crusader Kings, or other vanity series, as and when I feel like it, and start to move away from the homogenous Rimworld channel that the main channel is slowly morphing into.
There are still some problems to figure out, and there will definitely be some growing pains, but it could be a fantastic way to get more editing, decent quality content out, without pushing myself any further.
___
As always, thank you for watching and remaining patient with this one-man channel, it still remains a massive undertaking even to this day and gets more and more complicated as time goes by, but hopefully you're enjoying the content, and that's good enough for me.
Generations II update coming later this week, just catching back up with regular stuff after my birthday weekend.
See you next time,
Sam - CEO, commentator, writer, editor, channel manager, community manager, social media admin, accountant, business coordinator, technician, sound engineer, decorator, and chef of Mr Samuel Streamer.
Good morning, or evening, or whatever time it is wherever you are,
Quick summary below, longer, bigger words below that:
- Submit mod ideas for the Tribal/Neolithic/Classic Era in the comments box below!
- New series coming ASAP
Generations II Neolithic:
So, as I mentioned in the last post, I want to focus on the actual modpack and gameplay of Generations II rather than it as a series upfront. If the modpack is great from the get-go, certainly makes it a lot easier to make a good series out of.
We're going to go through, era to era, and choose mods to make each era worthy of playing, and a unique experience in its own right, and then move on only when I'm happy with the current era.
I have already got the core modpack ready and playable, but I don't want to miss out on any particular hidden gems or mods I wouldn't normally use!
This time around I am looking for Tribal, Neolithic, or Classical mods, anything that would fit into the first part of the colony experience from scratch.
The playstyle between early tribal colonies and full on Greco-Roman classical senate will be pretty different but I'm using Tribal, Neolithic, and Classical interchangeably because as far as the game is concerned there is no difference. It's all the same tech level, we'll just obviously need to invent clubs and tribal wear before we go for swords and togas.
So, I'm open to any and all suggestions (that fit the design document) and this is something in particular I bow to your wisdom on, because Tribal/Classic era is rarely something I play, mainly because many, many mods focus on every era beyond that, so it can be pretty limiting.
Just remember my patented 4 points to a good modpack;
- Does it look like Rimworld?
- Does it fit an era?
- Does it complement other mods?
- Is it balanced for a base game experience?
If it's Neolithic/Tribal/Classic and fits right in, then there's a good chance I'll add it!
New Series
For the new series, I originally had a very different, very ambitious idea, but I figured with Generations II in progress in the background, I didn't want to be dedicating all of my time to something very silly that might have been a weird reference.
So Star Trek right (bear with me) has an episodic format where everything sort of returns to normal before the end of the episode so no matter what episode you watch on TV you sort of know what's happening, unlike say Game of Thrones, where picking up mid season would leave you lost, confused, and frightened if you hadn't watched anything else.
Or just all the time with season 7, even if you'd watched everything else up to that stage.
The idea of having a status quo Rimworld series where everything returned to normal, with our characters on a spaceship going planet to planet and doing a task there was ambitious, and I thought it would be a fun way to reintroduce old characters, and tie everything together. Imagine our band of intrepid explorers getting a mission to sign a peace treaty in the Petal Empire, or having to save the planet from a horde of Anne's Vampires, that type of thing.
I like the idea. I think it could work. I'd just need to plan all of the different stories and episodes that will happen, but I couldn't do it unless it was somewhat preplanned and not during a big old modpack creation behind the scenes, so I'm putting a pin in the idea and coming back to it later down the line.
The actual confirmed new series out hopefully today will have a similar theme of old characters returning, not like a big crossover series such as 7 Deadly Sins, but more of a weird concept.
An idea crossed my mind that existing in the Rimworld galaxy as the Empire must be horrible. Just a truly terrifying experience where one planet has, say, a bloodthirsty vampire empire, then another has a mad chocolatier making record profits, and another is beset by the Pirate Captain Bucko drink.
Then it occured to me that I'm just one player in a vast sea of army cosplayers, anime ladies, furry enclaves, cyberpunk horrors. Imagine how horrifying it would be to play as the regular, plain old Rimworld Empire amid a sea of player-styled factions. One minute organ harvesters are at your doorstep, the next an army of supersoldiers with katanas.
So that's the plan for the next series. We play as a very strict recreation of the Empire, with few extras.
The characters we gear-up and give bionics to should match the templates in the Empire in the base game. The turrets, the bases, the tools at our disposal should be similar to what the Empire were to have in vanilla. We run a very tight military experience, based on classes and gear that the game has already outlined for us, and we try and take on player-styled characters using Compressed Raider.
To try and emulate the NPC experience a bit more I've added mods like fog of war, because the AI tends to not really care about you wandering around outside their base when you attack. And we have VE: Outposts, to simulate being able to build multiple settlements as the Empire will have on larger worlds. We can also create things that are usually restricted, such as persona weapons, cataphract armour without tech prints, eltex gear, neuroformers.
All the tools the empire would bestow on you as a reward should be ours to craft from the get go, because we are the empire, right?
Then coming to kill us will be horrible anime characters, slime girls, and of course many cameo characters. An empire recreation of Bucko Drink sent to level your base purely for training purposes sounds good to me.
So this may take slightly longer than usual to setup, because it's weird, and I still aim to get the new episode out for today, but I will delay it until I'm happy that it's good, because I think it's a fun idea.
Thank you all for bearing with me as I juggle all this stuff, there are a lot of messages in my inbox to go through and I'll get to it as soon as I've got this next series in a good place over today!
Thank you all for being a part of the weird experience, some big channel changes coming later this month, but that's a secret I'm not ready to announce yet.
Update: Forgot to mention, this won't be next series. I have a very, very weird idea for what will come after Genetics, something I've never done before.
At long last, the worst kept secret of all time, GENERATIONS II
Generations was, and still is, the most popular series I have ever made. Whether it was the lovable Ohm, the era progression, or the long-term colony family builder, for some reason you all loved it.
And now, nearly one year and one expansion later, I think it's time for Generations II.
Attached to this is a big old google document with the idea behind it, the concept, the core mods, and everything you need to kick things off. Originally it was much longer and much more messy, I've spent basically the last couple of hours reformatting it and converting it to googles new pageless document so hopefully it's much easier to follow! What happens now?
Well, unlike with the last generations, I want this to be a big community effort. Beyond it being a series, I want it to be a well-polished and well-designed mod pack above all else. Much like how the original Generations was a whole new way to play, this time we have the benefit of being able to design all the elements of it from the get-go, rather than episode 2.
Over the next week or so I will be making ERA SPECIFIC POSTS where you can submit and request mechanics or mods for each individual era to make it as unique to play as possible, not only for the overall modpack, but for each aspect of it. So the first one, coming over the next few days, will be a post all about the Tribal/Classical era, and that's when I'll be taking requests and ideas about that. When I'm happy with that era, we'll move onto mediaeval, and then only industrial, and so-on.
This is going to be a work of art, I tell you, and it will be a beautiful experience of which the entire community will have to thank US, the little Rim Rims. Finally, the master plan for total Rimworld domination comes to fruition.
But hopefully we can have some fun with the actual design process, and, dare I say it, maybe build some specific eras during Twitch Streams. Even though the very concept terrifies me.
Thank you all for being part of this weird and strange mod pack - let's make Generations II so impossible to beat that Generations III is doomed to fail,
- Names list is changing to OPT-OUT starting in TWO DAYS TIME - Your shout out/end credits name will be whatever is on Patreon - If you use your real name on PatreonI will shorten it to first name then last name intial. Purely for privacy reasons! For example: John S, rather than John Smith. - If you don't want a shoutout/end credits send me a message and I'll remove you ASAP! - Names that are inflamatory, politically charged, swear words, etc won't be read out. - You can change your Patreon nickname in 2 seconds flat here: https://www.patreon.com/settings/basics - And here's a guide if you're on mobile/other platforms: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-gb/articles/4408270922893-How-do-I-change-my-name-on-Patreon-
Longer but still relatively fast summary:
Hello! As I have talked about ad naseum, I am changing the Patreon shout out/end credits from opt-in to opt-out. This will save you all time messaging me requesting a shout out, and will save me plenty of time every month manually going through all 1000+ names to make sure the people on the list have opted-in. It was a system that worked fine for a while but now there are just too many names to keep track of!
It takes two seconds to change your nickname on Patreon if you'd prefer something else being read out, just follow the links above. If you have signed up with your real name, I'll be shortening it to first name, then last name initial. John S, rather than John Smith. This way if someone blindly signs up to the Patreon without realising they go on the credits then their name isn't out there in the world - not that anything bad would happen of course, all Youtuber's who have end credits do it this way.
If you want to opt-out, send me a message here ASAP, and I'll remove you from the list. Though I don't understand why you would want to do that, I understand people might have specific reasons, or privacy concerns, or a name that no longer reflects their identity (I've helped people with this before, get in touch and we'll see if we can fix the shout out for you!), and I'm more than happy to remove any names for whatever reason!
Prefirstly, messages will be responded to as soon as I wake up;
Firstly, massive apologies for my absense. It has been about 2 weeks now since I last was active on Patreon, lots of reasons for this that I discuss in the video, but regardless, it's not acceptable, and I fully apologise. This is my job, ultimately, and real life got in the way far too much these last few weeks, and though some of it was out of my control, it isn't a good look for me personally.
Postfirstly, The linked video, besides explaining and going into a bit more detail about why I was away the past couple of weeks, also touches briefly on some plans for GENERATIONS II, sequel to the hit series that debuted last year on the channel.
I go into a bit more detail in the video about why now I think is the time for a Generations II, but the important thing is that I will be doing frequent Patreon-only videos where we go era to era and build up the modpack with your feedback and advice. Though I would be very capable of doing it myself, I don't want to miss any hidden gems, and would like a bit more feedback and suggestion!
Tomorrow's content will be delayed while I catch up with all of the admin work here and for the channel that I've missed these past few weeks, but the schedule should level out again very shortly, so please standby!
Thank you, as always, for the support - without it, I would have left Youtube to live off the land, eating mushrooms and foraging for delicious little insects to suck the middle out of, like a festive cannoncini squirming to escape my hungry ape mouth.
Yours sincerely,
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly; Roll1D2 Games Currently; tired, lost, and confused.
Quick first point - if you're waiting for me to reply to a message, don't worry, I have read everything you've sent up to a few days ago, I just haven't replied yet. Names lists, end credits, etc are updated and ready for next episode. I have been adding in your requests as they've been coming in over the past week or so, I just haven't responded to all of you quite yet, but requests have been fulfilled!
___
The Patreon page is about to undergo some massive changes, please watch the attached and very well annotated video for full explanations, but I'll give a very brief overview here for lazy, lazy people:
___
STARTING AT THE BEGINNING OF JUNE:
- Names list will be OPT-OUT, rather than the current OPT-IN, everyone will be included by default at the relevant tiers, if you want to change your name on Patreon have a look at links at the bottom of this post!
- Going foward, NEW in-game names will be submitted through the google form I made a while ago. If you want to change a name on the list just message me like usual.
- In-game names list will be updated and accessible to everyone so you can see where you are on the list!
- Discord-Patreon integration now works, links at the bottom of this post will tell you have to connect Discord and Patreon if you haven't already!
___
Why?
So, for those of you with a bit more patience, I wanted to explain all of the changes in a bit more detail, and give me reasonings behind it all. I explain it in the video with visual notes on screen, so that might be easier than reading a wall of text, but you do you, I'm just here to give some options.
Firstly, the Discord-Patreon integration is working now. For the past year I've been manually assigning roles and ranks to everyone that joined the Patreon, and it was a lot of extra work, and you had to wait for me to do it before you could access the Discord channel. Now it's all automated and instant, so everyone wins!
It is possible that if the billing is interrupted or delayed that your rank might disappear for a little while, but it should link back up immediately. Don't panic, and as always, message me ASAP if there are any issues with that and I'll get to it as soon as I can.
___
The biggest of the changes will be with the shout out list. Currently there are many, many problems with my method of doing things. Having over 1000+ patrons to each individually manage with an opt-in system is an absolute nightmare and takes a whole day to sort out at the start of each new month, hence why I got Elise to do it for me, otherwise I'd have to take a day out of making videos just to sort out the shout outs.
Massive time sink aside, there are problems with having to download the Patreon lists. One of them is that anyone who signs up with a non-latin alphabet username (cyrillic, hebrew, greek, even scandinavian names for example) would be broken, and we'd have to try and work out who's username it was from the email address of the user, which might also have the same problem. If everyone is opted-in, then it won't be an issue because it narrows down a potential 1000+ patrons to whoever has messaged and opted-out.
The other issue with opt-in is that if some funny joker wants me to shout out something horrible and renames themselves mid-month and doesn't tell me, then they won't match our opted-in names list, and won't be on the next end credits/shout out screen. This is completely solved with an opt-out system and you can rename yourself to silly thing til your hearts content.
The other deciding factor for making it opt-out system, instead of opt-in, is that no other Youtuber's I've spoken to do it. I was even laughed at by one person. A lot of people just have a big scrolling names list at the end of episodes, but I think that's a bit boring and not very personal, but this comes at so much more management.
Of course, if you don't want to be shouted out with your username, and would like to opt-out, please send me a message before next month. Alternative, if you want to change your Discord username it's extremely easy and quick to do so, I'll include the link and guide at the bottom of this page!
___
The biggest of all of my terrors is the in-games names list. As always, we have maybe 15 new colonists a series, and that makes adding in so many name requests borderline impossible. Though, there is a new series coming soon that has had a lot of planning involved, and should give plenty of spaces for people to get a character.
To help streamline the process a little bit, people who join at one of the name request tiers will be given the link to the google form to submit a character name, gender preference, and notes to fulfill, where possible, as soon as they sign up. Those of you who have already sent me a name don't need to worry about this. Changing names on the list will work the same as always, just send me a message!
But how do you know if you're on the list, or what name you have? I'll be making the in-game names list accessible by all patrons, so you can double check your on there, or message me to make alterations.
The reason I had to stop updating it was because there were many people on the in-game names list who didn't opt in to the shout out list, so to prevent any privacy problems for them I had to keep it private. If everyone is opted-in by default, I don't have to worry about usernames on display, in theory, though I will always be careful for people who care about that.
To clarify, all it will say is your Patreon username, in-game name request, in-game character's gender, and notes. Nothing at all that would be something to worry about, nothing that isn't shouted out, or in episodes, but I like to be very overcautious when dealing with peoples user names, just in case they would prefer it private, for whatever reason. Probably just me being paranoid on your behalf, but I think that's the least I can do.
___
Overall, if you have any questions or queries that you'd like to bring up - potential concerns, or arguments against some of the changes, feel free to message me, or better yet, leave them below so other people can see it as well!
Hopefully this will be a massively positive change for the page - you get rewards quicker and much more clearly, I get less busy work and can focus on the main channel more, rather than trying to work three jobs at once!
As always, your continued support is more than generous, massively appreciated, and makes it so I can continue doing this, without sponsors, or merchandise, or all the usual Youtube corporate nonsense that I try and keep out of the videos.
Thank you.
Mr Samuel Streamer Formerly: Roll1D2Games Currently: very tired as it's 5am but I wanted to get this video out there ASAP ___
I have finally returned back to the land of Patreon, after an extended lock out and very, very busy past two weeks. The new series snuck up on me and I was woefully underprepared having another entire series already lined up, but I pivotted to this new series idea very much last minute.
The video above doesn't have the usual progress bars, topic on screen, etc but it does have timestamps. I'm already a bit behind schedule, and my keyboard is broken, so I'm in full speed mode today!
I'll be replying to all your messages right away, then starting on tomorrows video right after that!
A fast update to say that I, both mentally and physically, will be unavailable over the next few days, so apologies to all of you who have I have not had chance to reply to over the past couple of days here, but the bottom floor of my house is flooded with actual sewer water and it takes priority.
Not only will I not be able to reply here, but content will be missing occasionally while I try and fix this fairly sizable problem.
My eyes are stinging from the putrid air, my god please send help.
(No information is gathered other than what you type in, so please be thorough and accurate with your answers, feel free to submit another form if you make a mistake!)
If you have submitted names via message during 2022 then you don't have to do this. You're already in my new shiny names management system, but for everyone still waiting for names from 2021 then please fill in the form above so we can get to your names sooner!
Two things to discuss fast, I'll keep it brief. Firstly, the names list is undergoing a bit shake up to make it easier for me to manage, and to make it easier for you to submit and keep track of what names you have submitted. However, because we moved to Ko-Fi last year, and then moved back here to Patreon, the names list is a complete mess with duplicates and issues that have gone on too long, so I want to fix it now. I apologise for the inconvenience of having to fill out the form, but it's the most straightforward solution going!
Secondly, once again, I am having issues both logging into, and replying using Patreons messaging system. Elise has very diligently been logging in with her PC and keeping the names list updated and sending me the messages you send over Discord, but this is a horrible solution. So, I'm downloading another browser as I type this, just in case it's something strange like adblock stopping Patreon messages, but it's getting a bit silly now. Maybe Patreon should just release their own browser at this point HUH?
I also can't really kick her off of her PC given that she's writing a dissertation. But I have considered it.
Or at least morning for me, tomorrow morning that is, I have been awake for 30 hours as writing this so please forgive the above video if it's somewhat delusional.
At long last, the promised New Years video is here discussing last year, this year, plans, and changes that are coming to the Patreon. As per usual, the video has visual ques for subjects, bars at the bottom and left hand sides showing how long a particular topic has left, and Youtube chapters - so hop around to whatever interests you!
I'll keep this text section fairly sparse, however I do plan on doing a follow up video to whatever feedback you leave in the comments below this post (if it's necessary) based on some of the ideas and changes I posed in the video above. Your feedback would be very valuable particular because it might effect tier structures and rewards going forward, so I'm all ears.
As always, your continued support is beyond appreciated - I hope you enjoyed the slightly off-schedule main-channel video today, not something that will happen too often, but I felt like I owed the Vanilla Expanded team a significant amount at this point (given half the content of all of my content was made by them) so helping Oskar promoting a project was the least I could do.
I have a big list of Patreon messages I still need to reply to, some of which are dating back quite a few days now. Reasons are explained in the video for why its so late, but name requests and shout outs have been sorted, I just haven't had five minutes to reply to you all yet - it will be the first thing I do when I wake up tomorrow!
Here is to a good 2022.
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer The Youtuber formerly known as Roll1D2Games The Roll1D2Games formerly known as 'that guy who plays CK2'
Patrons, non-patrons, and people who have clicked on this entirely by mistake,
Hello. 2022 is off to a good start isn't it?
I am hard at work on the very sudden new modpack I'm having to build, but covid is proving to be a bit of a pain in the arse and I have a bit of fever today, so it's slower than anticipated.
But, this is a very fast update post to say that I have plans for a full 2022 update video, which is going over some pretty massive changes to the Patreon itself (names lists, in-game names etc), along with changes to the main channel and content, and more Patreon feedback going forward.
The important thing I want to get out of the way in this post is very, very simple:
I will NOT be moving over to Ko-Fi, or any other platform. Patreon is here to stay.
A lot of people have been asking about it as I discussed the problems with the platform mid-2021, and my plans to move over in 2022, but there are a few reasons why I've decided against it:
- Patreon have solved some (but not all) of my complaints.
- It's inconvenient for everyone to move platform as I'm well established here.
- Cancelling a pledge on Ko-Fi is very very difficult compared to Patreon. I believe it should be as simple to cancel as it is to sign up, and this just currently is not the case with Ko-Fi.
- Patreon are adding a dedicated video upload feature. Where as before I had to upload to Vimeo (which costs a lot of money) or link unlisted Youtube videos, Patreon are adding a dedicated video hosting server. This means that if anything, at all, ever happens to Youtube or the main channel (copystrike strikes, claims, hacking, etc) I have a very convenient back up platform.
Big actual video update coming as soon as I find 5 minutes to make it with, I have everything planned out, but if anyone has any questions you want to throw me regarding the channel, patreon, 2022 plans etc, leave them down below and I can add an extra section to the upcoming video!
As always, thank you for your continued support. I have big plans this year, and aim to shake things up quite a bit, so stay tuned.
Sam Mr Samuel Streamer The Artist Formerly Known as Roll1D2 Games
It's me, Sam, that guy who used to upload daily until a constant and unediting breakage at my internet service provider has scuppered by daily uploading hopes and dreams. Now I only upload on average 5 times a week, and once daily on the second channel, and 4 times a week on the Elise and Sam channel. Damn you internet provider, now people will starve for content.
Okay, but jokes aside, I have legitimately been looking at moving house to a different part of the country because the internet problem in this place in unbearable. That part isn't a joke, sadly.
New update video time! I felt like it had been a while since I last updated you all on what was going on, and I have a lot of big topics I want to discuss in a lot more detail such as plans for the new year, work ethic dicussions, etc, but that all needs a lot more thought than my tiny pea brain can put forward when I'm dedicating all of it to this new modpack.
Feedback, as always, is very much appreciated about any of the topics covered in this video, and if you have suggestions for State of Things videos then let me know!
The video is fully timestamped and has a progress bar on the left hand side you can see how long particular topics have, so jump ahead to what interests you!
Unfortunately this week my illustrious Patreon assisant is away and won't be returning until Monday, so it's going to take me a lot longer to keep on top of things. Normally Elise manages all of the names lists but as it's just me, and I get 20+ messages daily, it's a lot to catch up on.
I only have another 29 messages left to go but I'm just posting this to let newcomers know who see this afterwards that I'll be with you very very soon, just juggling the three channels and this solo for a few more days is a lot to keep up with!
And don't even talk to me about the broken modpack, I've already given up on sleep this week.
