Apologies for the delay, some shit happened and I had to deal with it. Still dealing with it but at least this is done. So, without further ado, let's see what we got here eh?
Silque's a priestess from FE: Echoes who could've been a great character...if she had more than one support. And if that support wasn't with the resident yandere. That's rather unfortunate, but hey at least she got to sing the credits theme. And man is that song good.
As you can see, there's no comparison pic this time around as unlike the previous cards, this was entirely made from the ground up. Well, kinda. I mean I still used a number of Razor's overlays and outfits (Catria and Faye's specifically.) but it wasn't built off of someone else's Silque. I thought she'd be easy to make and initially, she was. Most of her outfit was done and her hair was simple. So, not wanting to put something out there that could've been made in a few minutes, I figured I might as well spend some time on the finer details. Shouldn't take too long, right?
Well considering how this was late, the answer's fairly obvious. (Slide 1) BOY the fucking hood was a lot more convoluted than I had thought. Half the time spent on making this was on that hood alone. I'm not sure whether I should feel proud of it, or feel dumb for spending that much time on it.
Razor's overlay was nice, but I felt it was a little too purple so I desaturated it a bit. I also had to add a bunch of details to it that were missing from the outfit. All in all, only half of her top and her skirt was left relatively untouched. Everything else you see I had to do myself.
She didn't have much, so with the exception of her OG game art, I got all of her alts in there. Her manga alt (S7) wasn't too complicated, but man her Valentine's Day (S6) had a lot more going on than I thought. I forgoed the various props she had because 1. I got lazy, 2. Who actually uses them? They're the first thing to go and even for studio, it's much more convenient to make a seprate prop.
I'm gonna start focusing on what people are gonna actually use, not waste time quibbling over minor details. If it can be taken off without affecting the thing as a whole, adios!
Hence why I decided to give her a schoolgirl uniform. (S2) Sure, it doesn't make sense canonically, but it looks good so who cares. Better than making an outfit that while "canon", looks terrible/unfitting for them that no one uses as a result.
With that said, I did end up giving her Catria's (S3) and Faye's (S4) outfit because it looks neat. That and for the Faye one, as a reference to her only support partner. (Unless you count Jesse.)
As an aside, due to clipping issues, I had to finagle with the offset settings so that the skirt wouldn't clip at a standstill. Thankfully there's an option to have that setting pertain to only a single outfit so it shouldn't be an issue, but just thought I let y'all know in case her skirt explodes. That's why. You can adjust it using ABMX.
That's all for now, apologies for the delay. Y'all will be getting 3 cards this month as a result. But who? Well, it is the spoopy month, and there's a certain trend that's all the rage right now. It's hard to get a solid connection from this hole, so all I'm gonna say it has something to do with yellow and detectives.
